Indoor Racing Chilelli in Castelnuovo Scrivia, Italy played host to the LRP Master 2019 race this past weekend. The race was held in a multitude of classes and in the premier Touring Modified category it was Nitro On-road ace, Robert Pietsch (Mugen) with the TQ and win from another Nitro front runner, Capricorn’s Mirko Salemi. Nicola Marrone (Infinity) would round out the top 3 result.
The 2019 Southern Indoor Championship was held this past weekend in Autaugaville, Alabama. The event attracted over 550 entries and in the competitive Pro E-Buggy class it was as HB Racing’s Cole Ogden with the overall TQ. However after the double A-mains it was Serpent’s Justin Fales with the win, courtesy of winning A1 with a lap merging and coming in 2nd in A2. Cole Ogden had to settle for 2nd overall in front of Agama driver Ryan Lutz. Serpent’s Billy Easton came in 4th from Jacob Hardison 5th.

Coming from T-Works is their new bearing cleaner. The tool allows to easily and conveniently clean new or used bearings by simply placing them in the container’s metal insert, drop the insert into the container and add a good amount of cleaning agent, such as motor or brake cleaner. After closing the container, thorough shaking will loosen and remove grease, dust, dirt and grime, leaving noting but perfectly cleaned bearings that are ready for a new coat of oil or grease.
The third round of the popular Winter Nitro X Cross series was held at the Ledbury Model Car Club over the weekend. In Nitro Buggy it was Mike Lewis with the overall TQ and also the win in the 20-minute A-main, some eight seconds in front of Matt Lewis. Lloyd Pitt would wound out the all-Team-Associated top 3 two laps down.

The 2019 season of the Urban Touring Series flagged off this past weekend at the Onroad Raceway of Urban PlaySpace in downtown Singapore. Apart from the presence of nine of the top-10 finishers from the 2018 season, the reigning Indonesia national champion Bowie Ginting, made the short hop over to race the roof at Urban PlaySpace, together with Peter Anthonisz. Qualifying in the Touring Car class saw a dominant PY Tang seize the pole position when he won two of the three rounds of qualifying. Esmail Apandi took P2 for the A-mains when he won Q3 with PY Tang sitting out. Dominic Quek would have to settle for a P3 start. Despite his lack of track time, Bowie managed to qualify direct into the A-main in P4.

Team Corally have revealed first images of their forthcoming SBX-10 1/10th scale 4WD competition buggy kit. No official details in regards of features or specifications are available yet but looking at the CAD renderings the buggy will be decked out with big bore shock absorbers, carbon fibre shock towers, adjustable front and rear swaybars, and alloy suspension inserts with hinge pin inserts. The kit seems to utilise a shaft drivetrain for high efficiency. Full details will become available in time for the release that is scheduled for the end week of February. Update: In the meantime Corally have released additional body-off images, showing the buggy is indeed equipped with a class-standard shaft-design drivetrain, utilising a rear motor/rear battery layout in the images.
