Team Losi have become the latest company to release a high capacity LiPo pack with the announcement that they will start selling these 5000mAh 7.4V packs. Coming supplied with what looks like a soft shrink sleeve case, in place of a hard case, it comes supplied with power cables as well as a power plug and a balancer port and has been optimised for use in 1/10th scale vehicles. SMC have released their lastest competition LiPo cells with the announcement that they will start selling these monster 5000mAh 7.4V packs. Coming supplied with a soft shrink sleeve case, in place of a hard case, SMC stand behind the quality of the construction of these packs. More 5000MAh batteries coming on the market, this time from Robitronic who have produced this very red looking 7.4V pack. The same size as a sub-c battery pack means it can be used in a touring car and a lot of EP buggies. More battery news, this time from Japanese brand Velocity Racing who have released this new 5000MAh LiPo pack. The 2 internal cells have been encased in a hard resin and for connecting the battery to your cars electronics the pack features 2 sockets on one end for easy connection. As with all LiPo’s they feature a low internal resistance, give lots of power and this pack is around 60% of the weight of a comparable NiMh Sub-C6 cell type pack. Schumacher sent out their May newsletter to us and in it, amongst all the other products, we saw this rather powerful Lipo pack. Pumping out 7.4 volts, at 5000MAh, this Core-RC Lipo pack comes in a hard protective casing, pre wired with plugs, and with that rating should give some great run times.
