Klinik RC 1/10 off-road & on-road cooling systems

Klinik RC have introduced a new cooling system for 540-size brushless motor and the use with most 1/10th scale buggies and touring cars. The design forces air through the motor instead of letting it flow around the can for a significant drop in operation temperatures. The cooler is constructed from durable material and it is available in three different design: a 90 degree variant for front motor buggies such as the Schumacher KC and most touring cars as well as an inline version for 4WD shaft buggies such as the Team Associated B64, Yokomo YZ4, Tekno EB410, Kyosho ZX6 and Xray XB4. Last but not last is the 45 degree variant for most mid motor buggies such as the B6.1, TLR 22 4.0, Yokomo YZ2, Xray XB2 and Schumacher KC/KD. The shrouds are completely customisable for a clean fit and maximum efficiency and they are paintable to match any recommendation. The kits include the 0.030” thermoformed shroud, four grade 5 billet titanium 3x15mm screws as well as a fan guard and – optionally – a Maclan or WTF HV 30mm fan.

Tom Firsching wins at Northeast World GT-R Champs

The 3rd Annual Northeast World GT-R Championships were held at CRC Raceway in Rome, New York last weekend. With over 30 entries in World GT-R only, the race was well attended with drivers from Ohio, Canada, Western New York as well as a great group from central NY in attendance. In addition to World GT-R, drivers would do battle in 1/12th scale, Legends and Euro Trucks. The race featured CRC’s race point format that allows any racer to be on top by winning their heat with drivers of near equal ability. Race control re-sort every round by the fastest three consecutive laps so that every heat is stacked with drivers of near equal ability. To win the event overall, the drivers in their respective heat have to be beaten. The scoring system rewards consistency and “driving to your ability”. Going into the final round, the format produced a number of racers that could win the overall. In the end it was Tom Firsching (CRC) with the overall victory from Julianna Roman (CRC) and Kevin Large (Speedmerchant). Dan Holcomb (CRC) and Christopher Howard (CRC) would round out the top 5.
