Schumacher have announced the release of two new Speed Secrets option parts for the Cougar KC and KD cars. Firstly a new carbon fibre chassis that is 5mm shorter than the standard carbon fibre one. Used by Schumacher’s high-level team recently, it provides the car with more overall steering and agility on tight and twisty tracks which is especially good for carpet racing.
Team Associated have introduced the RC28 scale replica buggy of the iconic RC10 Jammin’ Jay Halsey used to win the first-ever IFMAR 1:10 scale Off-road World Championships back in 1985. This RC28 looks great and drives smooth thanks to a powerful electric motor and capable drivetrain. The included 2.4GHz transmitter allows complete control, enabling drivers to navigate around, through, and over obstacles with ease. After the vehicle’s integrated battery becomes discharged, the convenient built-in transmitter charger makes it easy to get back to full power and ready to run in less than an hour. CML Distribution have introduced three new aluminium Fastrax option parts for the Traxxas TRX-4 trail truck. The range includes a CNC-machined aluminium gearbox case, an aluminium front bumper set and an aluminium rear bumper set all of which are made of high-quality alloy. The black anodised surfaces prevents the parts from becoming stained or damaged and machined edge details on the bumper parts improve the visual appearance.
Coming soon from Tamiya is an aluminium bulkhead for the TB05 touring car. The lower bulkhead replaces the standard A3 plastic part for an item of higher precision and stability. In addition the bulkhead incorporated a ball-raced anti-roll bar mount with the needed 740-size bearings, stoppers and grub screws being also part of the package.

Coming soon from Tamiya is the TA07 MS 1/10th 4WD touring car kit. The full-option kit will include a 2.25mm carbon fibre main chassis, a 2.0mm vertical upper deck construction as well as 2mm lower bulkheads for improved traction on acceleration. Also part of the package is a 20T centre pulley that will reduce natural drivetrain drag. Other features include a multi-piece carbon fibre and aluminium floating servo mount and a highly adjustable battery hold down system with carbon fibre tabs that do away with the need to use fibre-reinforced tape. The kit is set for a release in mid-December.

The FunCup Austria was held as part of the Modellbau Vienna fair last week. The race was held on Thursday on the same track as the ETS the following weekend. In the 17.5T Touring A-main it was Rudolf Pletka with the win from Michael Hueber in 2nd. Wolfgang Richter rounded out an all-Xray 1-2-3.

The STR track played host to the final round of the Greek 1/8th Buggy National Championship last weekend. It was the deciding round of the championship and it was multi-time National Champion, Tasos Paparegas who was the man to beat all weekend. After taking the pole position he also took the win in the main final, scoring the fastest lap in the process. With the victory Tasos also took his seventh consecutive title. Giannis Perogiannis came in 2nd at the final round as Thanos Makropoylos rounded out the top 3.
