Sebastian Lucchini takes Chilean National title

The Chilean Off-road National Championship race was held at the RC Vina track in Vina Del Mar, Chile recently. With a brand new layout for everyone the challenge was set. JQRacing’s Gastón Zegard Latrach would take over all TQ starting in pole position with Sebastian Azocar Lucchini (JQRacing) in 2nd. The two would battle it out in the 40-minute A-main as Sebastian would edge out Gaston for the win and crowning him National Champ. Kyosho’s Felipe Lyon would round out the top 3 podium result.

Novarossi Truggy.28-8 4.6cc nitro engine

Novarossi from Italy have introduced their latest big block off-road engine in the form of the Truggy.28-8. The 8-port power plant is of a short stroke design and it features a true ABC liner, a reverse-type composite carburettor as well as a Turbo SG crankshaft made from high-quality steel. The Turbo-glowplug engine is available as standard and also as rotostart and pullstart variant and usable with most nitro buggies and truggies as well as many monster trucks.

French 1/8th IC Track Nats Rd4 – Report

This past weekend the fourth round of the French 1/8th IC Track Nationals took place at the ARCA16 club in Angoulême in the centre of France. Great weather with temperatures close to 35°C in the shade, and a very fast and demanding track awaited the drivers. In the National class, it was Simon Bergoin with the TQ followed by Faisal Affejee. In the Elite class, it was Stef Bouche who took the TQ honours just ahead of Arnaud Mathieu, after a very tight qualifying between the first 8 drivers.

Xray Racing Series Poland – Report

The Xray Racing Series Poland was held in Piaseczno on a technical track with a lot of jumps and a loose surface. The race was held in several classes and in 1/8th Nitro Buggy it was Burak Kilic (Agama) with the overall TQ from an unlucky Kaja Novotny (Xray) who missed the TQ in Q3 due to a late start and issues in Q4. After the semis it was the Kilic brothers in front with Kaja in 3rd after more issues in the semi-final.

Schmid brothers win at Swiss Buggy Nats Rd4

The 4th round of Swiss 1/10th Buggy Electric Nationals was held at the Kaiju Team astroturf track in Härkingen. In the 4WD class, Nico Schmid took the TQ in front of his Brother Florian and newcomer Kay Frehner. In the finals Florian had the better pace than Nico and won the 1st and the 3rd leg to take the overall win.

AOC 2018 Australia – Report

Round 3 of the AOC 2018 season was held in Melbourne, Australia on a temporary carpet track that was being set up at the Gloria Pyke Netball Complex located in the Dandenong suburb of the city. The event was run together with the South Eastern Radio Controlled Car Club and the large 38x20m track with a fun and technical layout got praised from the drivers. The Modifed Touring class wasn’t business as usual for Jan Ratheisky for the triple A-Mains. He had pulled off some of the fastest runs of his Modified Touring career to TQ ahead of a couple of former world champions. At the start of the A1 main, Ratheisky wasn’t going to have it easy. With Alexander Hagberg in tow, the racing stayed pretty close all race long as the two pulled ahead of the field and through back markers, Ratheisky was able to edge out Hagberg by 1 second.

Yeah Racing TA06/M07/XV01 gear differential

Coming from Yeah Racing and made for Tamiya’s TA06, M07 and XV01 series of kits is a competition-grade gear differential. The set includes 50T and 52T gears and the respective diff cases with the overall design ensuring good sealing and thus reduced maintenance and service time. Also included in the kit are steel outdrives for low wear and exceptional durability as well as composite internal gears, a composite cross shaft and a diff locker.

Frederic Santos wins Portuguese EP On-road Nats Rd4

The fourth round of this year’s Portuguese Electric On-road National Championship was held at the ARMAIA club this past weekend. In the sole Touring Stock class it was Hugo Miguel with the TQ from Nuno Duraes and Frederic Santos. In the triple A-main events Frederic Santos (Xray) would come out on top in A1 and A2 for the overall win as Nuno Duraes (Mugen) scored 3-2-1 finished for the overall runner-up spot. Hugo Miguel (Serpent) had to settle for 3rd overall, rounding out the podium results.
