2018 Arrowmax Cup Rd1 – Report

The popular Arrowmax Cup returned to the AMA track in Guangzhou, China, last weekend for the opening round of the series. The event was held in Touring Modified, Touring Stock and 21.5T Formula classes and in Touring Mod it was Lo Man Hau with the TQ and win from Fung Chiu Chi 2nd and Siu Bo 3rd. The 13.5T Stock class was TQ’d and won by Ali in front of Jiu Jiu Chan 2nd and Moon in 3rd while the 21.5T Formula class win went to Ho Hai Ben from La Ka Wing and Lo Man in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

The simple and elegant carbon brace provides protection in front end collisions, from the addition of a support point of contact. Proven to increase durability and body folding under impact it is also designed for minimal weight while maintaining necessary rigidity. The part is CNC machined and designed from 2mm US spec carbon fibre and can be used in conjunction with the factory carbon body post support and utilising factory bumper hardware.

John Bruins wins at Dutch EP On-road Nats Rd4

The popular Heemstede track in the Netherlands played host to round 4 of the Dutch Electric On-road Nationals this past weekend. In the Touring Stock class it was John Bruins who set the pace to take the pole position for the A-mains in front of Rob Janssen and Tjitte Miedema. After the A-mains it was again John who held the upper hand with Rob Janssen, who had a difficult A1, managing to stay on the 2 spot in front of Max Hordijk. Florian Joos and Tjitte Miedema would round out the top 5 results.

Danish IC Track Championship Rd3 – Report

Last weekend the third round of the Danish Nitro On-road Championship was held at the technical track of the Greve RC Center. In the premier 1/8th category it was Martin N.O Hansen who set the pace, by scoring a new lap record and claiming the TQ position after winning the four qualifying rounds. Henrik Christensen lined up in 2nd and Morten Nielsen had to settle for the 3rd spot after the qualifiers.

2018 HB Challenge – Report

The 2018 HB Challenge race was held last weekend at the Forluck RC Raceway Track in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. A total of 39 drivers from Singapore, Malaysia, Jakarta, Bandung, Solo, Gresik, Batam, Medan, Makasar, Banjarmasin as well as local drivers attended the event whose schedule saw three rounds of 10-minutes qualifying with the best two counting towards the qualifying results. In the end it was Jason Nugroho (Xray/Novarossi) who took the TQ honours and he also secured himself the 1st place overall after the 45-minutes A-main encounter. Jason was followed by Adrian Wicaksono (Mugen/O.S.) and Stanley Wangsanegara (HB Racing/O.S.) in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Axial 1967 Chevrolet C-10 truck body shell

Axial have introduced their new 1967 Chevrolet C-10 truck body shell. The body captures the look and feel of absolute vintage – raised hood, sunken bed and clean lines are just part of what makes this body stand out. The lid is moulded from tough .040 polycarbonate and it comes with large sticker sheets, a chrome grille and bumpers, moulded radiator and grille support as well as clear lenses for headlights and turn markers. Also included are additional moulded chrome accessories such as windshield wipers, mirrors and door handles. The body set is rounded out by the included mounting hardware and a detailed assembly sheet.

Bartek Kramza doubles at Schumacher Dart Cup Rd3

Round 3 of the Schumacher Dart Cup was held this past weekend at the RC Track, about 50km from Warsaw. For the third round the double jumps had been changed, creating a very difficult section. The first day of the competition was sunny and hot with the weather allowing to make maximum use the high grip of the astroturf surface. In the evening a lot of rain fell, so on the second day, racers with dirt racing experience had an advantage due to the grip being a lot lower. It was a great pleasure to watch the 4WD vehicles powerslide through the morning practice, however the track dried up completely until the finals. Bartek Kramza TQ’ed and won both the 2WD and 4WD classes with Iwo Czarnecki coming in 2nd in 2WD and David Krizak rounded out the top 3.

McBride & Stringer win at Queensland State Champs

The 2018 AARCMCC 1/8 OFF-ROAD Queensland State Titles were held this past weekend at Pine Hills Dirt Racing attracting 87 entries. In the premier Nitro Buggy class it was Kyle McBride with the TQ while in E-Buggy it was Mitch Steer with the pole position for the main finals. In the 45-minute Nitro Buggy A-main it was Kyle McBride who was able to conserve his qualifying performance to take the win a narrow 4.4 seconds in front of Aaron Stringer who was close to winning the main but an unfortunate hook up with a marshalled car took him out of contention. In 3rd Mitch Steer completed the podium results.
