Arrowmax V2 1/10th touring car setup system

Arrowmax have introduced the updated V2 variant of their black and golden setup system for 1/10th touring cars. New to the version 2 system are wider faceplates that help with precision and a more stable stand on the setup board. T-Works T4 upper bumper plate

Made for Xray’s T4 series of electric touring cars is the new carbon fibre upper bumper plate from T-Works. The part was designed to replace the standard composite plate for a cooler looking and more sturdy item. The plate fits all T4 series kits and it is available now.

BMT 984 V2 7075 aluminium flywheel

Coming from Italian brand BMT is the V2 flywheel for the 984 on-road kit. Made from 7075 aluminium the flywheel was specially machined for a low weight with the updated design also improving acceleration. A the black surface treatment improves wear and the part is available now.

Volker set pace ahead of 21st Reedy Race of Champions

With the 21st running of the Reedy Race of Champions getting underway tomorrow with the first of 12 rounds of heads up racing over 3 days it was Ronald Volker who set the pace in practice today at Tamiya Raceway.  The final time the legendary race will take place at the iconic track which come September will no longer be, a wet surface greeted competitors this morning resulting a 2-hour delay to the start of practice.  While the track dried, drivers faced much cooler conditions than normal as the sun never managed to break through the thick cloud cover with it particularly cold for the 4th and final round of practice.  Fastest both in outright lap time and over 3-consecutive laps, Volker led the way from JJ Wang with Christopher Krapp third quickest.  For reigning champion Marc Rheinard the day would end with him 5th fastest with him declaring he is ‘not as confident as I was after practice last year’.

West Coast R/C Works 12R6 servo mounting plates

The newest addition to West Coast R/C Works’ Black Carpet Edition line of option parts are the long awaited Team Associated 12R6 servo mounting plates. The parts are designed to replaces the original plate and the bolt pattern ensures that the servo is mounted correctly on the chassis. The plate is machined from 3mm carbon fibre to withstand the hardest racing conditions and it is available with bold patterns to directly mount Futaba’s 9650/9670 and BLS671SV/ BLS671SVi, Sanwa’s SRG-HR/HS and KO Propo’s RSx12 1/12th scale servos.

Coming from Vision Racing Products is the Tekno EB410 option carbon fibre -2 shock rear tower. The shock stay has mounting holes that are 2mm lower than the stock locations for added tuning options. Ruben Schaedler wins at Mexican Buggy Nats Rd2

The second round of the Mexican 1/8th Off-road Nationals was held at the Palmas RC Track in Puebla State, Mexico. The event used IFMAR style qualifying and finals and at the end of the hour-long Nitro Buggy A-main it was Tekno’s Ruben Schaedler with the win from Tito Cesena Castro (HB Racing) 2nd and JQ Racing’s Lico Gudino in 3rd.

JBRL Electric Series Rd3 – Report

Round 3 of this year’s JBRL Electric Series was held at SDRC Raceway last Saturday. The event kicked off with practice on Friday while on Saturday two qualifiers and single main events would be held. In the 2WD Open Buggy class it was Tommy Hinz with the win, coming from the 4th spot on the grid. Mason Eppley would end the day on the 2 spot from Chris Jarosz 3rd.
