Dutch Electric On-road Nationals Rd1 – Report

Last weekend the opening round of the Dutch Electric On-road Nationals was held at the popular Apeldoorn track. 42 driver signed in to race in the four classes of Touring Modified, Touring Stock, Formula and a supporting 1/8th Electric class. In Touring Modified it was Sidney Blokker who set the pace followed by Rick v.d. Akker. Due to some incidents for Sidney he was only able to come in 3rd overall as Rick was able to climb the top step of the podium followed by Goof in 2nd place, the latter showing a steady race as he took profit of some issues of Sidney.

SWorkz S35 series FF & FR brass lower arm mounts

MW RC Cars have introduced new SWorkz front-front and rear-front lower arm mounts made from brass and fitting the S35 series of vehicles. Both weigh in at 25g each, they come laser-engraved for easy identification and the suspension hangers help to fine-tune the weight distribution of kits such as the S35-3, S35-3E, S35-T, S35-TE and S35-GT/GTE.

Bill Shepherd wins 40+ at R/C Pro Series Rd1

Round 1 of the R/C Pro Series was held at T&T R/C Hobbies in Shreveport, Louisiana last weekend. In the 40+ Nitro Buggy class Bill Shepherd would take the overall TQ after a clean sweep in all three qualifiers and he would also come out fastest in the A-main to take the day’s win.

GL Racing long double joint driveshafts V2

GL Racing have introduced a set of long V2 double joint driveshafts for the GLA 4WD micro chassis. They are of the same design as used in 1/10th touring cars and smooth out wheel speeds at large steering angles while also producing a constant velocity transfer from shaft to wheel. The V2 shafts are made from high-quality spring steel and they are available now.

Xpress Execute XQ1 camber link stiffener set

Coming from Xpress and made for the Execute XQ1 touring car is a camber link stiffener set. By changing the front upper links to a triangular system, the C-hub is stiffened which provides a more predictable handling especially on high grip tracks. The set is a direct fit and includes all necessary hardware.

Futaba BLS373SV large scale servo

German Futaba distributor Ripmax has introduced the new BLS373SV high-torque servo for large scale applications. The high-voltage compatible device supports the T7PX HighSpeed SR mode, it is S.Bus and S.Bus2 compatible and programmable using Futaba’s CIU-2/3 USB adapters. It features stainless steel top and output gears for strength, four ball bearings and Cobalt-Samarium motor magnets for precision and best possible performance. At 7.4V input the servo is able of pulling up to 37kg-cm of torque at a speed of down to 0.11s.

Xray Racing Series Offroad Germany – Report

The a round of the German Offroad Xray Racing Series was held as part of the Intermodellbau hobby fair last weekend. Six different classes attracted about 70 entries and in 2WD Mod Buggy it was Yannic Wilcke who won the opening A-main over Joe Streff by a margin of 0.5 seconds. Yannic also won the second race and thus secured the overall victory as Joe finished 2nd overall. Olaf Grabaum finished 3rd to round out the top 3.
