Davide Ongaro gets the job done at The Italian Job

The annual The Italian Job Race was held this past weekend at ehe Tracciato Piemontese di Balocco track and it was Team Associated’s Davide Ongaro with the TQ and win in the 1/8th Nitro Buggy Pro F1 and Electric classes. Davide swept qualifying in both categories with Xray’s Marco Baruffolo coming in 2nd in Nitro Buggy as Tekno’s Alex Zanchettin came in 2nd after the qualifiers on the E-Buggy class. The Nitro A-main was slightly affected by rain but this did not stop Davide from bringing home another popular win this season with Radiosistemi driver, Leonardo Valente, coming in 2nd as Alex Zanchettin (Tekno) rounded out the top 3 results. Runner-up after the qualifiers, Marco Baruffolo was able to chase Davide in the opening 30 minutes, however technical issues forced Marco to retire and he eventually finished 13th overall. The single 10-minute E-Buggy A-main at first saw Ongaro and Zanchettin fight for the lead but Davide held his nerves together as Alex had some mishaps as he tried to put the leader under pressure. Ultimately it was Davide with a second win this weekend, leaving behind SWorkz’s Martin Wollanka on a popular 2nd place as Marco Baruffolo ended up in 3rd overall.

Schelle B64 short wheelbase arms & B6.1 Ti screws

Schelle have introduced new optional parts for the Team Associated B64 and B6.1 in the form of short B64 rear arms and a titanium upper screw kit for the B6.1. Starting with the rear arms, these are already part of Schelle short wheelbase kit for the B64 with the modified wishbones offering a 2mm shorter wheelbase which is a popular mod for racing on lower traction surfaces as the reduced wheelbase will generate greater rear traction. The arms are available as standard or hard composite items. Coming soon is also a 55-piece Grade 5 titanium screw kit for the Team Associated B6.1 and B6.1D. Saving 15g in the upper regions of the buggy, the set will not only reduce overall weight but also lower the overall centre of gravity which can be beneficial especially in high-bite racing conditions. The set includes 12mm wing mount hardware with optional 20mm screws being available separately.
