Alpha Dragon IV nitro off-road engine

German Alpha distributors Ruddog have introduced the Alpha Dragon IV 3.5cc nitro off-road engine. The 3-port power plant features several improvements such as a new crankcase that optimises internal mixture flow between the carburettor and the liner while a rear ceramic bearing reduces friction and wear. Also new are a redesigned, balanced crankshaft as well as an updated cooling head, piston, liner and wrist pin. The engine comes pre-run-in and the first batch also includes a 4-shoe clutch assembly.

Zen Racing RXGT12 rear droop spring kit

Coming from Zen Racing and made for the RXGT12 pan car is the rear droop spring kit. The part replaces part number ZENC152 and the use of the fixed droop set screw. By replacing the droop screw with a spring the car is better balanced over bumps and offers an even better transition of weight entering a corner.

Bartek Zambrzycki takes double Polish EP Off-road titles

The final round of the Polish Electric Indoor Championship was held a the Ptak Warsaw Expo this past weekend. The race was held in several electric off-road classes with the condition in the expo hall making things difficult for the drivers as in the mornings the temperatures were pretty low but they kept rising over the day. In the end and when the dust had settled it was Bartek Zambrzycki with the wins in both the 2WD Mod and 4WD Mod classes and he would also walk away with the double Polish national titles.

Patrick Folman takes Danish Super Stock title

Skanderborg RC club played host to the 7th and final round of the Danish Electric On-road Nationals this past weekend. Different from the years before Saturday saw three rounds of free practice followed by two rounds of controlled practice and three qualifiers. In the Super Stock class Kevin Nielsen (Xray) lead the way in practice and he also secured four of the five qualifiers, saving tyres in the final round, to take a dominant overall TQ and the pole position for the triple A-mains. Patrick Folman would come in 2nd from Daniel Nielsen 3rd. The finals again were an all-Kevin show as he took the day’s win, thanks to three wins, from Parick Folman (Awesomatix) and Patrick Danielsen (Xray). Overall in the championship it was Patrick with the title from Kevin 2nd and Patrick 3rd.

Infinity IF14 1.6mm carbon fibre top deck

Infinity has released a new optional 1.6mm top deck for its IF14 electric touring car. Made from high quality USA-produced carbon material, it creates more chassis flex when compared to the kit standard 2.0mm top deck, leading to increased traction and greater initial steering response. The 1.6mm top deck offers the best results when combined with the IF14’s optional aluminium flex main chassis.

Philipp Huber wins at Carpet Masters Rd3

The third round of the Swiss Carpet Masters series was held at the HVBRS track in Islikon this past weekend. Philipp Huber was able to snatch the overall TQ in the Touring Pro Stock class from Nuno Huber and Christian Grabher in the final qualifier. In the triple A-mains Philipp was chased by fast Nuno but thanks to error-free runs Philipp was able to bring home wins in all A-mains to take the overall victory from Nuno Huber 2nd and Domenic Grabher 3rd. Christian Grabher and Roland Kupper rounded out the top 5 results.

SchuurSpeed V4 stock brushless motor

SchuurSpeed have introduced their new V4 brushless stock motor. Designed to comply with ROAR rules – homologation is excepted late March – the motors feature an optimised short stack stator, new rotors, revised sensors, and they are 30 grams lighter; all contained in a specially designed can to maximise cooling. The motor will become available in 13.5T, 17.5T and 21.5T specifications and has already proven its performance by taking multiple stock class wins at last weekend’s Desert Classic race.
