Reds Racing have released their new clutch retainer kit for TLR and Tekno vehicles as well as heavy duty clutch bearings. Starting with the clutch retainer, the set includes an alloy steel washer and high-quality screw that allow to use the Reds Racing Durabell and Tetra clutch systems on TLR and Tekno RC kits. The set captures the bearing and clutch bell to keep everything in place, even in the event of a bearing failure. Also new are 5x13x4mm heavy duty metal-shielded clutch ball bearings. They are made in Japan and offer exceptional durability even in severe racing conditions.
The Russian Electric On-road Nationals were held in the city of Vladimir recently and it was Maxim Laverychev who took the title in the premier Touring Modified class. Denis Zuykov came in 2nd while Nikita Ignatiev completed the podium result in 3rd.

RC Speed Secrets have introduced their new Next Level 6-hole Cheater shock pistons for the Tekno RC EB410 buggy. The CNC-machined delrin pistons are of a 2x 2.0 + 4x 0.9mm 6-hole design and they are made to offer more grip and a pillowy soft feel through the rough stuff, keeping the buggy’s tyres on the ground longer than stock pistons. They are recommended for the use in the rear with 1.7 front pistons and 450cSt to 475cSt oil all-round. The pistons come as pairs and are a direct fit on the EB410.

Coming from GL Racing is their new GLR 1/27th scale RWD chassis kit. The mini-size car utilises a design comparable to a 1/12th scale pan car, making for a low centre of gravity and low weight with the rear end sporting a tri-friction grease damper system, an aluminium alloy rear sub frame and a ball differential with 64 pitch gears. The front end is made up using carbon fibre, alloy and composite parts and that all is connected by a 98mm wheelbase carbon fibre chassis. Other features include a steering crank with built-in servo saver, a full metal gear servo with partial alloy casing and a side link system for maximum rear axle traction. The kit is rounded out by a Hobbywing brushless speed controller that is programmable with an optional program card.
The recent 2018 Snowbird Nationals, held in Kissimmee, Florida, was as usual run in a multitude of classes. In the 17.5T Pro10 category it was SpeedMerchant’s Johnny Carey with the TQ and win using a SMC and Team Scream powered car. Arnaud Lemperiere (SpeedMerchant/Team Scream/SMC) would snatch the runner-up spot in the single A-main from Ray Darroch (SpeedMerchant/Team Scream/Fantom) in 3rd.

VBC Racing have introduced their new Ghost18 1/10th electric touring car kit for sportsman classes. Despite its somewhat low retail price the kit is stacked with high performance parts such as 7075 aluminium goods and composite graphite and racing quality parts, making this car is ideal for club, GT, and vintage races. The annual JConcepts Winter Indoor Nationals was hosted by SmacTrac in St. Louis, Missouri last weekend. The anticipation flies high for one of the best races of the year and for 2018, there was massive improvements to the clay surface that was welcomed by all. With the four extra, tandem dump truck loads of clay mixed in, the crew at SmacTrac was able to add more elevation to the layout making it, even more, three dimensional along with upping the grip by a lot. Friday practice was a lot easier to manage with the cars having extra grip and by Sunday, the track came around nicely with more than adequate amounts of traction that made for high-speed, close racing all weekend.
