JConcepts Pioneer 1:10 2WD buggy wheels

First debuted at the 2024 Florida Carpet Championships, JConcepts has officially released its Pioneer wheels for the modern 2WD buggy class.  While looking at a 1989 Masami Hirosaka replica, Jason Ruona had a 3D vision of recreating an iconic variation.  The pop-out panels of the Pioneer wheels add new looks in a positive direction while the home position remains for the proper offset, and mounting characteristics.  Fresh outer ribs drop in between the sectional panels and a radial ring around the wheel nut area.  The ribs connect the 4 screw location areas created to represent adaptors used during the golden age of RC.  JConcepts offer titanium screws that work perfectly with these wheels, available separately, and in two different colours, burnt blue and stealth black.  The dimensional aspect of the wheels matches the IFMAR World Championship winning Mono wheels, and they have an industry standard offset and are produced in durable material, inner reinforcing ribs and stout 12mm hex area pack this design.  The 4 pack of wheels will be available in popular colours bright white, and fluorescent yellow, retro pink and stealth black.

2 from 2 for Boots in British Championship

Sworkz/Reds Racing factory driver Elliott Boots maintained his perfect start to his BRCA British 1:8 Nitro Buggy Championship title defence with another win at Round 2 which was hosted at a sunny Brookthorpe track.  Taking maximum points at the season opener at Herts last month, Boots again ticked all the boxes at the second stop on the 5 race schedule securing the TQ and the win.  In qualifying he took the TQ on tie break with the Mugen Seiki of Dom Nunn, both drivers topping two rounds each.  Having set the pace in the opening qualifier, the Xray of Jonny Skidmore, who was runner-up to boots at Round 1, would qualify third.  Winning his Semi Final to line-up on pole in the 14 car 45-minute final, from there Boots went on to win by 3/4 of a lap over the Agama of junior racer Erik Lykke.  Having started P2, unfortunately Jonny Skidmore’s race lasted less than 5-minutes after he collided with another buggy travelling backwards down the straight.  Team-mate Lee Martin, who started P7, would complete the podium.

Yokomo RD/SD Option Parts | Spring case

Yokomo has released new option parts for their 1:10 drift cars that includes an aluminium Rear Hub Carrier for RD2.0/SD3.0, an Aluminium Upper Arm Mount for RD/SD series, and a Universal 30mm Fan Shroud plus a Yokomo Multi Spring Carry Case.  The alu rear hub carrier is more rigid than the standard plastic one, and improves rer traction and slide control.  Featuring five upper arm fixing positions, it allows for more precise adjustment of camber change due to suspension stroke.  The lower suspension arm pins can also be selected from three different positions, allowing the roll balance to be adjusted by changing the roll center, and the degree of traction to be controlled. It is available in black, blue, purple, and red to match the SD series.  The new alu upper arm mount increases upper arm mounting rigidity and front tyre tracing.  It’s anodised aluminium colour makes it suitable for SD3.0 blue version.  Universal 30mm fan shroud increases cooling efficiency through the channel effect.  It is mounted on an adjustable angle bracket and can be installed on a variety of machines. It is particularly suitable for drift cars that require motor cooling and can be attached to the upper deck or bulkhead with double-sided tape.  Finally the Yokomo Racing Factory branded Multi spring case allows you to neatly store shock springs, which tend to be cumbersome.  The lower section is designed to hold springs for a variety of spring types, from speed to off-road, and the upper section can hold springs in their bagged state.

Schumacher Mi9 Option Parts

Schumacher has released four new option parts for their Mi9 1:10 Electric Touring Car that includes a brass front weigh, a new stiff carbon fibre chassis, Split Top Decks, and a Lock Stop Steering Arms Set.  With fine tuning of chassis balance gets more and more critical in Touring Car Performance, the 20g Brass Front Weight for the Mi9 is a great option which keeps the centre of gravity super low, and positions centrally in between the servo and LiPo.  Made from brass and nicely coated in stealth black, itits with either the standard kit servo mount or the popular Aerox LP1s direct fit servo.  A new 2mm ‘Stiff Weave’ carbon fibre chassis is ideally suited for medium to higher grip conditions and  has similar feeling to that of an alloy chassis yet is lighter.  The 2mm thickness gives that all important lower centre of gravity increasing corner speed.  Also crucial for Touring Car Performance is chassis flex so Schumacher has also introduced a new Split Top Deck made from 1.6mm carbon fibre which enables a greater set up window to be obtained with the options available.  Finally an option for improved reliability in a crash is the new Lock Stop Steering Arms Set.  The gives a hard steering arm stop on lock and in unusual crashes this can protect the front roll bar from becoming bent.
