RC Maker SP1 Option Parts

Australian electric touring car manufacturer RC Maker has released a number of new parts for its SP1.  The new parts come after extensive testing across multiple countries with varying conditions, surfaces and grip levels and feedback from drivers with different levels of experience and classes.  The release includes a new Short -2mm Front Wheelbase Set.  This option gives a slightly more docile initial feeling, followed by more mid corner steering and rotation, helping the car hug the apex of tight corners.   Also new is a Split Horizontal or Vertical Body Mount Set which allow for tuning of the rear bulkhead flex.  SP1 owners also get three new Fibreglass Top Decks options, one front and two different cuts of rear decks.  The 2mm fibreglass material is softer then the carbon alternative and designed to allow more flex generally coupled with the optional Hard 2.2mm carbon chassis or Alu chassis increasing flex generating more traction.

MR33 A800R Low Profile Flex Bumper

New from Marc Rheinard’s MR33 brand is this Low Power Flex Bumper for the Awesomatix A800R Electric Touring Car.  Weighing just 9.8g the 2mm lower design further optimises the centre of gravity.  The angled side and front sections ensure optimum handling when riding over curbs as the bummer does not touch the ground or touches it much later.  The four spring profiles printed into the bummer give it the necessary rigidity that is otherwise only found in much heavier models.  A set consisting of 3 different inserts (5mm, 6mm, 7mm) which can be clicked into the left and right sides of the bumper and eliminate the gap that every body always has to the side of the bumper. This means that the body sits even better on the car.

Yokomo MD2.0 Champion Edition

Team Yokomo is releasing the kit of drift team driver Kai Ito who won the World Championship at the world-class drifting event “WTDC” held in Malaysia.  The base machine is the MD2.0, which has a front-rear balance that emphasises steering maneuverability while taking advantage of its high rear traction.  The front lower arm is also made of resin instead of graphite with a ball pivot, which improves handling and response.  Because the suspension structure provides sufficient rear grip, the motor is purposely set in a low position to obtain agile motor performance.  By eliminating the sluggishness often associated with high-mounted motors, the motor’s combativeness in pursuit scenes is enhanced.
