Tobias Kerler teams up with Capricorn

Italian company Capricorn have announced the signing of German nitro on-road front runner, Tobias Kerler. The multiple ENS A-finalist will campaign Capricorn’s C803 1/8th nitro on-road kit for the remainder of the 2017 and the full 2018 season.

Yeah Racing YD2 carbon fibre chassis & top deck

Made for Yokomo’s YD2 RWD drift car are the new 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis plate and top deck from Yeah Racing. Both parts replace the standard composite pieces and make for an overall increased chassis stiffness while also being more resistant to heat generated by the motor. The chassis, that features milled slots underneath the motor section for improved heat dissipation, and top deck are available separately and they can be used as single item or together in order to achieve the required chassis stiffness.

Muchmore CTXW belt-type tyre warmer elements

Muchmore have introduced belt-type tyre warmer elements for the CTXW and CTXW Pro tyre warmer main units. The size-adjustable elements allow to heat both 1/10th on-road and off-road tyres for improved tyre performance from the get go. The warmers use hock and look straps for steep-less adjustment and they come as pairs.

Kyosho R4 Evo/R4s II brass rear suspension holder

Coming from Kyosho and made for the V-One R4 series of 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road cars is a rear brass suspension mount. The part is machined from high-quality material, it adds 10g to the most rearward point of the chassis and it comes in a natural finish. Adding weight in the rear part of the chassis will increase traction but can also make the car rotate better. The mount is usable for kits such as the R4 Evo, R4 SP, R4, R4s II and R4s.

Marco Vanni crowned Italian 1/8th IC Track champ

The final round of the AMSCI Italian 1/8th Nitro On-road Championship was held at the Club 5 Colli track in Gubbio, home of the 2016 IFMAR 1/10th 200mm Worlds. Veteran racer Marco Vanni started from P9 on the grid after some troublesome qualifiers but with swift and consistent work from his pitman, Emanuele Oberto, Marco was able to take the win after an error-free and fast paced race. Luca Martini and Michele Romagnoli rounded out an all-Shepherd podium and thanks to the win at the final round, Marco was able to take the overall title, the third in his career.

Xray T4’18 brass motor mount plate

Coming from Xray and made for the T4 2018 touring car is a brass motor mount plate. Designed to replace the standard aluminium item with a heavier part, the plate is cut from high-quality brass and it weighs in at 5.6g. It offers T4’18-specific mounting positions and due to sitting on the centreline of the chassis it does not incidence flex while adding weight in one of the most central parts of the car.

Orlowski aims to kick off new EOS season with home win

Season #7 of the Euro Offroad Series kicks off this weekend (20-22 Oct) in Warsaw, Poland, with reigning 2WD Champion Michal Orlowski aiming for a repeat of his last performance on home soil. The Schumacher driver, who lives in the Polish capital city, did the double last year when Warsaw hosted the second round of the indoor carpet offroad championship going on to claim his inaugural EOS title win. With Poland returning as the opening race of the championship, Orlowski will be looking to capitalise on the energy of the race’s large show crowd to get his title defence off to a winning start. Running as part of the World Travel Show, which is expected to be attended by over 30,000 visitors, the teenager knows that as champion he is the one everyone is out to beat. While already facing tough competition from Xray, Yokomo and Team Associated established driver line-ups, this weekend will see the high level of competition further bolstered by the additions of former 1:8 Offroad World Champions Ty Tessmann and Atsushi Hara as they make their EOS debuts.
