3DRC 30mm Fan Booster super short

3DRC’s popular 30mm Fan Booster is now also available in a super short variant. Designed for all electric touring cars with limited space behind the motor the super short variant also comes in handy when mounting the fan in front of the motor or when less weight is needed in the rear part of the chassis. Like the standard length variant the Fan Booster will channel the cooling air created by the fan towards the motor can for optimised cooling and less motor power fading during a run. The part is usable with most 30mm fans and it is available directly through 3DRC’s Shapeways store.

John Hazlewood brings home Truck win at SRS Rd2

This past weekend the popular Slough track in the UK played host to the second round of the Southern Regional Series. The series brought nearly 100 drivers to the event, because of this there was only a bolt-on practise round for the drivers and with many having not driven on the track since the last national in 2016, it was a steep learning curve for most. With the three rounds of qualification in very hot weather conditions over, in Nitro Truck Jon Hazlewood took a commanding TQ, with Michael Shorey in 2nd. The Truck A-final was up first and as the buzzer went Jon’s truck stormed round the first corner and into the distance. His driving was on another level and it grew quite a crowd of people watching it as he went around untouched for the 20 minute final and ultimately he brought it home in 1st place a lap up on the 2nd place driver.

In the 2WD finals, William came from 3rd in the first two legs to win both taking the overall win while Derek finishing 2nd in the first two meant he would take 2nd overall. Elliott Boots doubles at 2017 Kyosho Masters

The 2017 Kyosho Masters were held in Sucy En Brie, France this past weekend. The annual event attracts Kyosho drivers from all over the World to race in several categories. 6-times winner, UK’s Elliott Boots was the pre-event favourite for the win in both the Elite Buggy and E-Buggy classes and he would not disappoint. Elliott took a double TQ and he would also be in control of things in the main nitro buggy final that was shortened to 30 minutes because of the high temperatures. Boots would get past pole position holder Joao Figueiredo in the opening stages and he controlled the race from there, taking his fourth straight win of the event some two laps in front of Sweden’s Jessica Palsson and Portugal’s Joao Figueiredo. In the E-Buggy class it was again Elliott who excelled and by sweeping the triple A-mains he grabbed his second title of the weekend from Jessica Palsson 2nd and Stephane Deroch 3rd.
