Urban Touring Series Rd3 – Report

Singapore’s Urban Touring Series ran its third round this past weekend. While some of the top names were missing this time, there remained plenty of fast drivers to make it another racing showpiece. Hovgaard wins at DRCMU Electric On-road Nats Rd6

The sixth round of the Danish DRCMU Indoor Electric On-road Nationals was recently held at the Djurs RC club. In the Touring Modified class Yokomo’s Frederik Hovgaard was the quickest driver from the get go, coming out fastest in the controlled practice by about a tenth of a second in front of Mike Gosvig (Xray), and Frederik would also take the opening two qualifiers to grab the pole position for the triple A-mains from Mike Gosvig and Mike Hansen (Schumacher). In the opening A-main the race for the win was on between Frederik and Mike Gosvig as both had a good start but problems with backmarkers meant Frederik would be allowed to cruise to the win in A1. After another good start and with a fast pace, the Yokomo driver would then also come out fastest in A2 to take the day’s win from A3 winner, Mike Gosvig in second and Mike Hansen third.

Thanks to Frederik Hovgaard for the report.
