JConcepts Finnisher MBX-7TR body & XB2 gear shield

JConcepts have introduced the Finnisher body shell for the Mugen MBX-7TR as well as a 3-D-printed gear shield for laydown transmission equipped Xray XB2 buggies. Starting with the body, the popular and ROAR nationals winning Finnisher design is now also available for Mugen’s MBX-7TR truck. The slight cab forward design with a raked windshield makes the truck stand out as does the large centre fin which adds stability at high speeds. The Finnisher has a built-in air escape passage on the roof which allows the customer to fine-tune the body for maximum performance the included champion rear name plates provide additional high-speed stability and improved positioning of the rear bed rails to strengthen the assembly. Overall handling has been improved by balancing the bias between the cab location and rear wing placement which control the majority of the aero affects of the aggressively styled body.

Serpent Viper 977-E Evo2 aluminium chassis plate

Serpent’s 977-E Evo2 aluminium main chassis plate is now also available as an option part for the 977-E Evo1. Machined from 5mm 7075-T6 aluminium and coming with some heavy machining to allow for ultra-low mounting of all components, the chassis is usable on the Evo1, allowing to run the older spec car with optional narrow rear suspension mounts as well as a narrow front end.

Riccardo Berton wins at Trofeo di Natale

The Pista Off road Le Pescine track in Rosignano Marittimo, Italy played host to the Tropheo di Natale last weekend with some of Italy’s fastest drivers in attendance. In the Expert Buggy class it was Riccardo Berton who set the pace in the 45-minute main final that he would win with a margin of about 13 seconds from second placed Davide Ongaro. Marco Natale would end the day some two laps down on the final podium spot.

BK Servo DS-S-HT ultra high torque servo

BK Servo, known for their helicopter servos, are making a step into RC car racing by introducing the DS-S-HT ultra high torque servo. Offering a whooping 40.8kg-cm of torque at 8.4V input and a speed of down to 0.10s, the servo is ideal for demanding 1/8th off-road classes. It also features a machined all-alloy case with heatsink middle section, steel gears, and a coreless motor. The servo is set for a release in mid-March.

Yokomo Racing Performer touring car springs

Yokomo have introduced the all-new Racing Performer Ultra Series touring car springs as well as two optional parts for the SLF short shock II dampers. Extensively tested and used by Ronald Völker to win the 2016 IFMAR Worlds and the recent 2nd round of the 2016/17 ETS, the Ultra Series springs are made in Germany by a full scale car supplying company and they come powder-coated and with laser-etched markings. They will become available in seven different configurations including linear and progressive types from early April.

KO Propo RSx3-12 1/12th scale servos

UK KO Propo distributors Schumacher have introduced the new RSx3 1/12th scale servos. Available in three different variants they replace the RSx 12 and utilise a high-power core-less motor for reliability as well as hardened aluminium gears for durability. The RSx3-12 line servos all pull up to 7.5kg-cm of torque at a speed of 0.13s, they are HCS compatible, feature black receiver leads, gold-plated connectors and hard gear shafts with the three different version only differing by the pre-set firmware. The RSx3-12 comes set with a universal program ideal for 1/12th, GT and Formula racing while the RSx3-12 World Spec Version is programmed with the 2014 IFMAR Worlds winning mode which is slightly milder. Last but not least comes the GT12-specific RSx3-12 GT Version servo set to GT500, World GT and Formula rubber racing specifications.

Kyosho Inferno GT2 Audi R8 LMS Red Race Spec RTR kit

Kyosho have updated the Inferno GT2 1/8th nitro on-road kit that is now called the Inferno GT2 Race Spec 1/8 GP 4WD RS. The vehicle has been tuned up for even greater performance to deliver speeds over 70km/h. While keeping all the main chassis components unchanged, the adoption of the front-mounted radio box from the MP9 uses optimal weight balance to increase grip and improve overall running performance. With aluminium parts anodised in Kyosho’s signature gun metal the new version stand out from its predecessor and the included Syncro 2.4GHz KT-331P transmitter automatically manages frequency bands and features LCD screen, jog dials, model selection, endpoint adjustment, dual-rate and exponential settings. New servos deliver both high-torque and high-speed and the set is rounded out by a red Audi R8 LMS bodyshell.
