175RC TLR 22 4.0 Ceramic diff kit, nuts & washer sets

175RC.com have introduced new option parts and accessories for the TLR 22 4.0 4WD buggy in the form of a Ceramic diff kit, a lightweight nut set and M3 ball stud washers. Starting with the diff kit, the set targets stock racers as the set includes lightweight Ceramic diff balls and a lightweight Ceramic caged thrust bearing. The total weight of the set is 0.6g compared to the 2g of the stock carbide setup, resulting in improved punched and overall power delivery. Designed for the 22 4.0 buggy the set also fits other popular kits such as the Team Associated B6D, Kyosho RB6.6 and Yokomo YZ-2.

SWorkz S35-GTE 1/8th electric GT kit

The next company to hit the market with an 1/8th GT kit is SWorkz. The Asian brand has released a first teaser image of their forthcoming S35-GTE electric kit and given the name the vehicle is based off of the company’s S35-series off-road buggy kit. More information will become available soon.

Blaze Racing Longsword 235 wide Pro10 car kit

Blaze Racing from Poland have introduced their new 235mm wide Longsword 235 Pro10 pan car kit. The car utilises a conventional link-type rear end design and a CRC front end in combination with a 3mm carbon fibre chassis and front suspension plate. The rear roll damper plate, designed to also protect the rear axle, as well as the centre shock plate, are cut from even thicker 3.5mm carbon fibre for outstanding rigidity. The power pod is of a sliding axle mount design for virtually step-less ride height adjustments while the rear brace also allows to mount a motor cooling fan from stock. The main chassis accepts a variety of battery configurations including dual 96mm 2S LiPo shorty packs, 2S inline, 1S and 2S shorty transversal as well as front or rear mounted 2S shorty packs to name just a few. The kit is rounded out by a wide 3mm fibre glass front bumper that protects the front suspension from heavy impacts. The kit is available from now on.

Xray GTX8 1/8th nitro GT car kit

Following a couple of teaser images Xray have finally unveiled their all-new GTX8 1/8th nitro GT car kit. Developed for the ever-growing 1/8th GT class the car is based off of the European Championship winning XB8 off-road buggy and it sports several on-road specific features to adapt the car to the requirements of competition on-road racing. The kit is based on a hard-coated 7075-T6 aluminium chassis that features strategically machined sections for a reduced weight and lower centre of gravity of the components such as the engine, fuel tank and differentials. The composite side guards can be equipped with optional carbon fibre braces to adjust the overall chassis stiffness.

JConcepts B64 Aero front wings

Coming from JConcepts and made for the Team Associated B64 series of 1/10th 4WD buggies are the Aero front wings. They features a trim-able rear gurney option and sport a radical, edgy design which functions and compliments the Finnisher and Silencer body designs. Cut lines make for easy trimming while triple wing mount dimples are included for a bolt-on fit to the popular B64 series of vehicles. The leading centre section of the wings have been formed into a unique V-shape to perfectly outline the front shock tower geometry. The wings are available in a wide or narrow variant, they made from high-quality polycarbonate and come in sets of either two narrow or two wide wings.

Capricorn C803 Nickel-treated axle shims & new swaybar

Coming from Italian company Capricorn are new Nickel-plated wheel axle shims and a 2.7mm rear swaybar for the C803 on-road car. Starting with the axle shims, the parts are cut from high-grade 7075 aluminium and they underwent a Nickel treatment process to make them highly wear resistant. Also new and made for the C803 is a 2.7mm rear swaybar wire that adds to the already existing range.

Honscha doubles at North German regionals Rd1

The opening round of the North German regionals, a qualifying race for the national championship, was held at the MAC Burgdorf track near Hanover. In the 2WD Modified Buggy class it was Sebastian Honscha (Team C) who came out fastest after the A-mains from Yokomo’s Christopher Krapp in 2nd and Yannic Wilcke 3rd. In the 4WD class it was again Sebastian Honscha who was in control of things with young John Zuber (Xray) taking 2nd and Christoph Thiele (Team Associated) rounding out the podium in 3rd.

Blake Raulerson successful at Force Series Rd3

Round 3 of the Force series was held at Lake Park RC in Tampa, Florida with 186 entries for the weekend making for a long day of racing. In the 25-minute Nitro Buggy A-main Blake Raulerson, coming from the 6th spot on the grid, soon moved up to 3rd and started turning laps, trying to stay out of trouble. With a 2-stop strategy Blake had an advantage over the 3-timers and he got into the lead late in the race and with about three minutes left. Ultimately he was able to bring home the win in front of Travis Adams and Kevin Abbott in 2nd and 3rd respectively.
