Orcan RSR3 2.11 nitro on-road engine

Orcan have introduced the new RSR3 2.11cc nitro on-road engine. Building on the success of the IFMAR World Championship wining RS3 the new engine features an updated sleeve timing for more torque, making adapting the engine to different race tracks and driving styles easier, while an increased cooling head surface improves heat dissipation to keep the engine within its optimum operating temperature range even in hot weather conditions. The engine is available in a standard variant without any modification and also as MH tuned variant to extract even more performance from the power plant. Last but not least is the RSR3-MH Sound of Racing Edition. Limited to 25 pieces world wide the engine comes MH tuned, with a timing shim, an engine bag and including a unique Orcan USB flash drive that features the Sound of Racing, a recording that mashes the unique Orcan engine sound with the tunes of Australian nitro racer and musician, Ricky Kradolfer.

Capricorn E801 carbon fibre radio plate

Capricorn have introduced a new carbon fibre radio plate for the E801 1/8th electric on-road kit. The newly designed part is machined from high-quality carbon fibre and allows the use of three shorty-type LiPo battery packs. To properly use the new radio plate the packs should not exceed dimensions of 96×46.5x25mm and they need to utilise through-type connectors and cases.

Creation Model/Infinity welcomes Takaaki Shimo

Creation Model have announced the signing of Japan’s Takaaki Shimo to their team. The long-time Mugen development driver will be part of the company’s nitro research and development program and Creation Model are really happy to welcome Shimo San on board to race Infinity’s nitro on-road cars both on a national and international level. Takaaki says:

I’m pleased to join one of the strongest team I ever see in my racing career; I’m really excited to team up again with some of team mates I shared good times in the past like Lamberto, Francesco and Nikaido San. I will spend all my efforts to develop the Infinity nitro platforms for the upcoming season and beyond. It’s a new chapter of my life and I hope it could be a successful one once again. Arrowmax 17-piece 64 pitch pinion gear set

Coming from Arrowmax is a 17-piece set of 64 pitch pinion gears that also includes a pinion holder. The gears are machined from high-quality aluminium and they come hard-coated for wear with the set including 21T to 37T sizes. As for the pinion caddy, the handy item was only introduced a couple of days ago and it is made from aluminium and comes black anodised with gold-colour details.

Daniele Ielasi joins FastRace SuperGT team

FastRace from Italy have announced the signing of former IFMAR 1/10th 200mm World Champion, Daniele Ielasi to their SuperGT team. After so far doing only select races with the GT-R15, included the win of the Euro GT race back in 2015, Daniele will now enjoy a full season with FastRace, including appearances at the Italian Nationals and the European Championship.

Fire Fuel Buggy, Touring & GT spec nitro fuels

Fire Fuel have introduced their new range of nitro fuels for off-road, on-road and GT applications. All contain nine percent of high-quality oil with the Buggy and Rally GT blend being mixed with 25 percent nitromethane while the Touring specific fuel contains 16 percent nitro. All three come in different can sizes including 5L/169oz and 1L/33oz.

Novarossi CT & CTO series turbo-style glow plugs

Novarossi have introduced the new CT and CTO line of turbo-style glow plugs. Based on the experience gained with the B and T-Line plugs the CT series will combine the characteristics of both, making choosing the correct glow plug easier. Available are CT5 to CT8 plugs for 1/10th and 1/8th on-road applications as well as the off-road specific CTO5 to CTO7 glow plugs.
