Tobias Kerler joins WRC Racing

WRC Racing have announced the signing of Germany’s Tobias Kerler to their team. The former ARC driver will campaign WRC’s GTX 1/8th nitro on-road car at all major national and international events.

ProTek 370TBL Black Label waterproof crawler servo

New from ProTek R/C is the 370TBL Black Label waterproof high-torque brushless crawler servo. Utilising a black anodised aluminium case with heatsink middle section the servo pulls up to a massive 46.8kg-cm of torque at a speed of down to 0.13s, thanks to a brushless motor and full steel gears. It is also waterproof up to one meter, high-voltage compatible, it utilises dual ball bearings and comes with an all-black 280mm lead, making it ideal for heavy 2.2 class rigs, U4 racers, lightweight 1.9 comp builds, and ultra detailed scalers alike.

Team Orion competition speed controller – Teaser

Team Orion have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming competition brushless speed controller. By the looks of things the speedo in question will be the follow-up model of the successful R10.1 Pro 1/10th ESC with a new, compact 1/8th controller being possible also. Schumacher Cougar KD dirt spec 2WD buggy kit

Coming this February is Schumacher’s new Cougar KD dirt spec 2WD buggy kit.  Designed for low-traction dirt tracks the prototype of the buggy already showed some great performance at the European Off-Road Championships in Spain where Schumacher factory driver Michal Orlowski finished third on the podium. The KD has the adjustability to conquer loose dirt to hard packed clay tracks as well as other low-grip surfaces thanks to a new 3-gear stand-up gearbox with 14-ball differential and a newly designed 2.5mm aluminium chassis that is usable with a range of battery layouts including saddle, square and shorty. Carbon fibre side pods make for advanced chassis stiffness tuning and an updated suspension geometry ensures fast and consistent handling. Other features include shocks with bleed screw and vented options, a lightweight twin-pad slipper clutch and a new sleek bodyshell.

Capricorn LAB C-03 revised carbon fibre shock towers

Capricorn have introduced revised carbon fibre front and rear shock towers for the LAB C-03 200mm nitro touring car kit. The redesigned shock stays now feature less and relocated upper shock mounting positions for an updated shock geometry and thus improved handling and performance. Both parts are cut from high-quality carbon fibre and they are available separately.

Elliott Boots to use Reds Racing electronics

Reds Racing have announced that Elliott Boots will be running Reds Racing electronics in the 1/10th and 1/8th classes in 2017. Elliott already uses the company’s nitro engines and now the former Tekin factory driver will get the full Reds Racing treatment by using their brushless motors and speed controllers also. Elliott will be a part of the development team helping to improve and enhance the electronics for the future, working along side head designer Marco Rossi.

Xray 4S 2.8 touring car spring set

Xray have added a new spring to their range of 20mm low-profile 4S springs in the form of the C=2.8. The second hardest in the range fits between the 2.9 and 2.7 and it each set is individually controlled, measured and matched for best possible consistency. The black-colour springs come in sets of two and they are marked for easy identification.
