JConcepts 1993 Ford F-250 trail bodyshell

JConcepts 1993 Ford F-250 trail bodyshell

JConcepts have introduced the 1993 Ford F-250 trail and scale bodyshell for 1/10th trucks such as the ones from Vaterra and Axial. The body is a replica of the ninth generation Ford truck and it features the slightly lower hoodline, rounded front fenders and grille as well as the stout fender flares the 1993 truck was known for. The bed itself is solid and includes slated details to look like its full-scale counterpart. Light body lines and raised sections are present throughout such as fuel tank latch, window weather strip outlines and hood indentations. The hard body-line positioned front to back give the truck heart and the “Built Ford Tough” personality. The body comes clear and includes an authentic decal sheet and easy to use window mask for the detailed hobbyist. The F-250 drops on the Ascender and Axial 12.5″ wheelbase setting, with standard body mounts.

Axial SMT10 Grave Digger Monster Jam RTR truck

Axial have introduced their all new SMT10 Grave Digger Monster Jam 1/10th scale 4WD ready-to-run straight-axle truck. Resembling the iconic Grave Digger full-scale truck, the 1/10th kit was developed for maximum strength and an extremely detailed appearance. The chassis offers many pivot points for suspension tuning while realism and strength are achieved through triangulation of the chassis tubes, making it ready for maximum attack and hardcore Monster Truck bashing. Part of the package are also the AR60 OCP-Axles that are constructed from high strength composite material which has a low flex rate but is not as brittle as standard glass filled nylon. The combination of these axles and a true 4-link suspension gives optimal performance for any terrain with the look of a real full-scale vehicle.

New champion(s) to be crowned at ETS Finale

sun_brunomarc-1200x720

Following five years of having the same champion in Ronald Volker, the Yokomo Euro Touring Series will crown a new champion or champions this weekend (22-24 July) at the Season #9 finale at the Hudy Arena in Slovakia.  In a season that has produced 4 different winners in the Volante Modified class over the five rounds to-date, Volker’s quest for a sixth consecutive title came to an end last time out in Luxembourg when the Yokomo driver missed out on an essential podium finish.   With championship returnee & former champion Jilles Groskamp taking the win it was the two that joined him on the podium that are left to battle for the title.  Finishing 2nd behind Groskamp and ahead of Bruno Coelho, former champion Marc Rheinard needs a perfect weekend in order get back the title he last held in 2010 but even if he does he will have to share it.  Third in Luxembourg, Coelho is so far the season’s only double winner and if Rheinard was able to equal that feat at what is the home track of the Xray driver it would mean that for the first time in ETS history there would be joint champions.  One of the most competitive seasons with no single driver or manufacturer dominating, the reason the top prize may have to be shared is that both drivers counting rounds including the number of TQ’s are identical in all tie break scenarios.

Yeah Racing 90mm Desert Lizard crawler shocks

Yeah Racing 90mm Desert Lizard crawler shocks

Yeah Racing have introduced the Desert Lizard 90mm dual stage internal spring shock absorbers for 1/10th scale crawlers. Utilising aluminium bodies the shocks also feature triple seal cartridges and dual stage internal springs that allow to build either a droop or sprung setup. The latter will create a rig which will generate a lot of flex and more suspension travel while with the droop setup, the rig will sit lower and because of a spring under the piston, will be less prone to rolling over but will generate less flex. The shocks come in sets of two, including different springs and damper pistons and in a range of colours including red, orange, green, gun metal and black.
