Thunder Alley Raceway hosted their Toys for Tots race over the weekend with the event having over 110 entries. Mugen’s Adam Drake would sweep the Nitro Buggy and Nitro Truck classes with his Novarossi-powered rides and he took a commanding victory in the 30 minute Nitro Buggy final by nearly a lap. Cody King (Kyosho/Reds Racing) settled for second and Joseph Quagraine (JQRacing/Reds Racing) finished third.

Coming from Team Losi Racing and made for the 22-4 2.0 is an aluminium belt pulley set. The precision machined parts come with a hard-anodised finish for wear and they are designed to replace the standard composite parts for stronger, more precise and longer wearing items. Kyosho America have introduced the third version of the MR-03VE Pro, the GP Limited. The car features the ultra-fast MHS2.4GHz system that delivers a response speed 16-times faster than the existing ASF2.4GHz and KT18 transmitter combination and 4-times faster than the ASF2.4GHz system and KO Propo EX-1 transmitter combination. Equipped with the newly developed Xspeed VE PRO brushless motor that incorporates a one-piece aluminium case and heatsink, this dynamic 12000KV specification motor is kept cool to extract maximum performance to produce the fastest speeds in Mini-Z history. Additional features include the previously optional MML aluminium motor mount to lower the centre of gravity and enhance heat dissipation even further, MML roll shock that increases setting flexibility, and ball diff for improved cornering and running performance. Previously optional parts included as standard in the GP Limited are anodised in a special colour.

The newly opened indoor asphalt track of Graha Tamiya, located in Gading Serpong, just outside of Jakarta City, Indonesia, played host to the Tamiya Invitational Race 2016. The first official race since its opening in April the event attracted about 50 entries in the three classes of Super GT, Stock and M-Chassis. The race attracted some international top drivers such as UK’s Andy Moore, as well as Thailands Charvit and Trin and also some guests from Singapore as well. With the top guns in the Super GT class all running the Tamiya TRF 419X, it provided the crowd with the maximum entertainment as results from two out of the four rounds of qualifying would count. At the End, it was Charvit (Thailand) who took the top spot, winning two rounds with Andy Moore (UK) lining up on P2 and Alvin Koh (Singapore) on P3 both TQing a round each.

The French Reims EMC club held an electric off-road race over the weekend at their indoor dirt track. The event had almost 100 entries and after four rounds of qualifying it was Reno Savoya who took the TQ in the 2WD Buggy class while local ace Romain Valter came out fastest in the 4WD qualifiers. The organisers ran four mains that were all very tight and entertaining and counting three out of four mains it was Reno who ultimately grabbed the overall wins in both classes.

The final FinTrack Tour TC round of the year was held in Oulu over the weekend with about 80 entries for the three Touring Car classes and the supporting Formula category. In the Touring Modified A-main Viljami Kutvonen would come out fastest in the A-main from Miko Teponoja in second and Kalle Lehto in third.
The Euro Nitro Series is excited to announce that it will travel to France for the first time in 2017 with Mulhouse in the east of the country the location for the opening round of Season #4 of the high profile Onroad Nitro Championships on May 19-21. Continuing as a four round championship, this will be the first year all rounds will be staged in different countries with Germany, Austria and Italy making up the rest of the schedule. A country with a rich history of onroad nitro racing, and with the ENS attracting a growing number of French competitors each season, the addition of Mulhouse has been welcomed by both manufacturers and racers.
