Roche introduce new Rapide F1-2016 option parts

Roche introduce new Rapide F1-2016 option parts

Roche have introduced two new option parts for the Rapide F1-2016 1/10th formula car. First up is the short aluminium front standoff set for the use with smaller diameter tyres. The 11.8mm standoffs in combination with the 0.5mm spacers allow to run proper ride height settings when using somewhat smaller tyres that would reduce the ground clearance too much with the kit’s parts. The set includes four aluminium front A-arm standoffs and four 0.5mm shims. The second new part is a graphite front brace that allows to fine-tune the stiffness of the front end. It connects the lower A-arms and makes for a more rigid setting that leads to a more stable car.

Masao Tanaka wins at Sagamido Challenge

Masao Tanaka wins at Sagamido Challenge

The Sagamido Challenge was recently held at the SRT track in Aikou, Japan in the four nitro on-road classes of 1/8th Expert, 1/8th Sport, 1/10th GPT and 1/8th GT. A total of 55 drivers attended and in the 1/8th Expert category it was Worlds runner-up, Takahaki Shimo who set the TQ after the two rounds of 4 minute qualifying, followed by young and talented Shoki Takahata and Keisuke Fukuda in second and third respectively. Masao Tanaka would follow in fourth. The 20 minute A-main was sort of a sprint race with the top drivers pulling away swiftly while Masao Tanaka suffered a first corner crash, but he would recover soon, eventually passing Fukuda during the early stages of the race. Mid-race the traction conditions changed instantly with the previously low grip track changed to high grip as the dust got whipped away, causing a lot of trouble for many drivers. Traction rolling was soon a problem for most with Masao taking profit of the situation as he was able to grab the win one lap head of Takahaki Shimo.
