TKO have introduced a new carbon fibre slipper disc set for the Team Associated B5M buggy and others using the same size, such as the Yokomo YZ-2. Made from carbon ultra poly material to provide consistency, smoothness and feel, the carbon material makes for rapid heat dissipation and thermal stability without glazing and hot spots. The pads are virtually maintenance free, they come in sets of two and weight in at 0.7g.

The 40+ European Nitro On-road Championships were recently held in Lostallo, Switzerland in challenging weather conditions all week. In the 1/8th class Alain Levy took the TQ but it was Luca Martinelli who came out successful in the shortened main final. Second in the 35 minute encounter, that was stopped due to rain, was Erol Sehirtoy who took the vice championship. Cristofer Hedlund would round out the podium in third place.

Italian company WRC have introduced new main gears for their F-One 1/10th scale formula pan car. Coming in 90T and 94T sizes the 64 pitch gears are of a lightweight design and they allow to use more diff balls than many of today’s gears for a smoother and more reliable diff action.

The final round of the Spanish Nitro On-road Championship was held at the Autet track. During qualifying the weather was excellent resulting in a close affair with a gap of only 3 seconds from 1st to 6th place in the 1/8th class. Alberto Alonso already secured the Spanish championship title at the penultimate round so the race was on for the runner-up spot. For Sunday the weather changed with some clouds and thunder storms predicted for the afternoon. First up was the 40+ final and it was Vicente Eres who took the victory.

Up and coming young German driver, Micha Widmaier, has re-signed with Schumacher Racing and CS Electronics. Micha is the current German junior champion in 2WD with his KF2. Just two weeks ago Micha raced a prototype of Schumachers new CAT K2 4WD buggy at the EOS in Nurburgring and won the B final against some world class drivers. Micha plans to race at most of the big races in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland next year, including EOS and Euros. Micha said:
I am very happy that I can drive for Schumacher and CS in 2016. I will give my best at the races.

Horizon Hobby have announced the soon release of the Twin Hammers DT 1.9 Rock Racer RTR vehicle. Based off of the proven Twin Hammers the DT variant will feature an updated bodyshell and a LED light bar for running at night. The rugged 4WD chassis features long travel suspension components like the ones found on full-scale rock racers, it comes with multi-surface beadlock wheels and tyres as well as factory-installed waterproof electronics. Included in the set is also a genuine Spektrum DX2E 2.4GHz radio system, a 2000mAh LiPo battery pack and a suitable wall charger.
The sixth and final round of the Swiss Nitro On-road Championship was held at the iconic Lostallo track. Xray’s Rahael Wicki took the TQ after some mixed qualifiers and he looked like he would also score a win in his semifinal but Traugott Schär (Xray) made a late move on him to take the pole position for the 30 minute final. At the start of the main Raphael jumped into the lead followed by Traugott with both showing some great battles until some 9 minutes before the both had a coming together but they would escap with no problems and at the end of the half hour encounter Raphael took the win from Traugott and with it the Swiss Championship title. Michael Schäfer (Xray) would round out the top 3 at the final round while Maurice Lüscher (Xray) and Traugott Schär rounded out the championship podium.
