TLR 22 Direct Drive System

Team Losi Racing have introduced the Direct Drive System slipper eliminator set for the 22 line of buggies and trucks. Designed to replace the somewhat heavy slipper assembly with a lightweight direct drive system the kit includes a new aluminium slipper shaft, an aluminium spur gear hub and a two different size spur gears. The set is designed with stock racing in mind where low rotation masses are highly beneficial and the spur gears are also available separately in 75T, 72T, 69T and 66T sizes.

Green & Beal win at BRCA 1/10th Nitro on-road nats

The opening round of the BRCA 1/10t Nitro On-road Nationals was held at the fast and technical Wombwell Raceway in cold but dry weather conditions. Mark Green (Serpent/XRD) would take the TQ position in the premier 1/10th 200mm class while Glyn Beal (Serpent) came out fastest in the 1/10th 235mm GT and the 1/8th GT categories. The main final of the 200mm class then had Mark Green defending his top position to take the day’s win from Joe Kerry (Capricorn/O.S.) and Alex Thurston (Serpent/Max).

Nicolai Lindegaard wins Danish Touring Car Nationals

The final round of the Danish Touring Car Nationals was held in Tinglev near the German border. The race attracted a record breaking 80+ entries including reigning DHI Cup Champion Tim Benson from Germany. The overall championship was still up for grabs with both Nicolai Lindegaard and Steven M. Olsen could secure the title with a win. Controlled practice saw Nicolai and Steven settle for second and third as they were beaten by Frederik Mikkelsen by 0.1 tenth of a second and it looked to be a weekend of close racing.

Fabio Berlingieri wins at Campeonato Centro Sur

The opening round of the Campeonato Centro Sur was held in Bahia Blanka, Argentina. Lots of entries made for a competitive field and in the 1/8th Open Buggy class it was Fabio Berlingieri who took the day’s win from Maximiliano Lence in second and Nicolas Chiki Rodriguez in third.

Jannick Namyslo crowned Winter Cup Champion

Jannick Namyslo crowned Winter Cup Champion

The 4-race Winter Cup Series was held at the Hobby-Theke Raceway of the MCRT-Aschaffenburg club in Germany in several electric on-road classes including Touring Car, 1/12th pan car, Formula and M-Chassis. In 1/12th pan car reigning champion Jannick Namyslo again came out successful at the end of the season with a maximum points score, taking the overall title in front of Hartmut Rose and Sebastian Fenske, making it an all-Xray podium.

Trinity have introduced Modified versions of their popular Revtech 24K Stock racing motors. Available in 2.5T Drag Racing, 3.5T to 5.5T off-road and 6.5T to 9.5T off-road variants the motors feature thicker pure copper solder tabs, infinite timing adjustment, grade 5 ball bearings and a special gold-colour anodising to make them stand out.

TLR 22 3.0 Laydown Transmission Conversion

Coming soon from TLR is the Laydown Transmission Conversion for the 22 3.0 buggy. A first image of the conversion shows a new aluminium main chassis plate, new laydown gearbox halves, a laydown motor plate, an aluminium idler gear, aluminium rear uprights as well as a carbon fibre battery mount, miscellaneous hardware and a new bodyshell. The conversion allows to convert the standard 3.0 transmission into the now-standard laydown configuration as it is widely used on high-bite surfaces such as carpet, astro turf and prepped clay.

Xray XB2 composite shock towers

Xray XB2 composite shock towers

Coming from Xray are composite front and rear shock towers for the XB2 Dirt Edition buggy. Available in a hard and a medium compound the parts help to adapt the suspension stiffness to various track conditions with the medium towers being ideal for very low to low-medium traction while the hard compound parts are best suited for low-medium to medium-high conditions. The front and rear towers are available separately.
