Etronix PowerPal Touch Pro Duo & EZ-4 charger

CML Distribution have introduced the new Etronix PowerPal Touch Pro Duo and EZ-4 chargers. Starting with the Touch Pro Duo, the multi-chemistry device is providing two chargers directly from one AC/DC powered unit. Featuring the latest in touch screen technology for ease of use, a full scope of adjustable parameters are available via the touch screen using the supplied stylus for slick and quick operation. With input from either AC or DC voltage and a charge rate of up to 10A the PowerPal Touch is suitable for most needs and applications. Once the charger is set to the specific battery charging requirements via the simple main screen selection, the screen can display a range of data during charging from battery curve voltage to individual cell charge state.

Tebo tops open controlled practice

Jared Tebo has topped the opening controlled practice at the IFMAR World Championships in Japan, the Kyosho driver setting the fastest 3-consecutive laps of the Yatabe Arena over the Xray of Martin Bayer. Having set the pace in free practice, Bayer’s team-mate Bruno Coelho would complete the Top 3 with just 4/10ths separating the Top 10 drivers.

Jorge Chacon Jr. wins at Bolivian Off-road Nats Rd2

The second round of the Bolivian Off-road Nationals was held in La Paz, Bolivia. In the 1/8th E-Buggy class Jorge Chacon Jr. (TLR) came out fastest from TQ holder Carlos Guerra (Xray). Byran Bohrt (Xray) completed the top 3 podium result.

Spanish Nitro Series Rd2 – Report

The Gijon track in the North of Spain played host for the second round of the Spanish Nitro Series. Saturday started out with five rounds of qualifying in which Edu Escandon (KM/Novarossi) came out fastest, taking the TQ honours with the fastest lap and also a new track record from Juan Hidalgo (Mugen/Novarossi). Jonhy Pastor (Mugen/Novarossi) and David Campos (Xray/Novarossi) completed the top 4 result. Following the qualifying the fun Defasio car chase challenge was held with José Aldudo (Xray/Novarossi) taking the win after a faultless drive over four minutes.

Candel wins at final round of Andalusian Champs

The final round of the Andalusian Off-road Championship was recently held in Malaga. In the main final Luis Ignacio Candel (Xray), coming from the 2 spot on the grid, jumped into the lead and he would never look back to take the win from Juanma Vera Vargas (Mugen). Agustin Illanes (Mugen) in third would round out the podium.

Team Magic E4RS III+ electric touring car kit – Teaser

HRC Distribution have a first information about the forthcoming Team Magic E4RSIII+ electric touring car kit available. The follow-up model of the successful E4RS III will feature some subtle refinements such as a 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis for quicker steering response, reinforced C-hubs for increased durability and steering precision, revised steering knuckles for increased steering as well as reinforced rear drive shafts and upper bulkheads. The suspension arms now use aluminium pivot balls and new arm mount spacers make for easier fine-tuning of the roll centre settings. Also new is an updated one-piece FR arm mount for better steering control. The III+ will become available as a full kit and also as an upgrade package for current E4RSIII owners. Coelho tops practice as Matsukura closes gap

At the end of practice at the 1:10 4WD Offroad World Championships at the Yatabe Arena its Xray’s Bruno Coelho who is proving to be quickest, the Xray drivers P3 time still standing at the top of the times sheets. With none of the Top 3 after P3 improving their times, the two big movers in the final practice would be Naoto Matsukura and Michal Orlowski. 6th & 7th after three rounds, they both improved their 3-consecutive lap times to move ahead of Yusuke Sugiura and Lee Martin with Mastukura’s Kyosho reducing Coelho’s advantage to 3/10ths.
