Rémi Callens joins Team Magic/HRC

French top driver and 2012 Touring 10.5 Stock European Champion Rémi Callens has joined the Team Magic/HRC factory team. Remi will campaign Team Magic’s E4RS III touring car and he has the following to say about the deal:

I’m very happy with the TM E4RS III. This car has perfect reactions to setup changes, and is very performing out of the box. I’m happy to join the Team Magic and HRC team, and thank them for this great opportunity.

Protoform have introduced the new Nor’easter late model 1/10th scale dirt oval bodyshell. An evolution of PF’s line of race bodies and using the latest in aerodynamic styling from full-scale late models, the body has been refined to give even more steering and side bite. Extra clearance has been added around the right front fender and the front splitter reconfigured to allow for more body lean while the side skirts have also been enhanced for more rigidity and stability. Made to fit all the popular dirt oval late model pan car chassis, the Nor’easter meets all dirtoval.com national rulebook specs and comes with a pre-cut and pre-drilled spoiler kit complete with end plates and hardware. It is produced in genuine 030″ Lexan and also includes a detailed decal sheet featuring two different sets of headlight and grille options, window masks, and paint-then-peel overspray film.

Xray Work.Shop Greece – Announcement

Xray have announced a Greek T4 and NT1 Work.Shop for the 19th and 20th of September. The event will take place at the Fanatix Racing track in Stamata, Athens and Xray’s Alex Hagberg will be present to offer individual setup and tech support to all Xray T4 and NT1 drivers. McBride & Tessmann win at JBRL Nitro Series Rd6

Round six of this year’s Jimmy Babcock Racing League Nitro Series was held at RC Tracks of Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada. Australia’s Kyle McBride (Team Associated) would take the win in the Expert Buggy class from Kyle Johnson (Mugen) in second and Ty Tessmann (HB) in third. Kyle would then also come out successful in the Expert Truggy main, beating Kyosho’s Cody King and Mugen’s Adam Drake. Elsewhere in the 1/8th Electric class Ty Tessmann grabbed the day’s win from the Mugen duo of Adam Drake and Steve Harris.

RDRP 3.0mm hex & 3.0mm ball hex Ultra Wrenches

Revolution Design Racing Products have expanded their range of Ultra Wrenches by a 3.0mm hex and a 3.0mm ball hex variant. Both make use of the proven and ergonomically shaped black anodised aluminium handle and they sport new high-quality HSS steel tool tips that are titanium-nitride coated for durability. The new material tool tips are also a running change to the other Ultra Wrenches and they are available separately to upgrade existing wrenches as well.

ETS Season #9 gains traction with Volante

With the opening round of the 2015/16 Euro Touring Series 3 months away, the organisers are pleased announce a new tyre partnership with Volante Tire which will see the Korean company supply the controlled tyre for both of the World famous championship’s two touring car classes. In Formula, which comes off the back of its most successful season with 226 drivers scoring championship points, Ride will continue to provide rubber to this growing category. Entering into its 9th season, the previous breaking entry records, the new partnership with Volante will see the new tyre producer’s V5-28CP used for indoor carpet rounds and its V5T-36R [Gold Compound] when racing moves outdoor on to asphalt. With defending manufacturer champions Yokomo continuing on as title sponsor for a 6th consecutive season, the ETS will again continue to run over 6 events across Europe. Kicking off over the weekend of December 11-13, in Hrotovice, Czech Republic, Round one has already attracted over 320 entries.

Arrma Fury BLX 1/10th 2WD short course truck

Arrma’s Fury 1/10th scale 2WD RTR short course truck is now available as brushless-powered BLX variant. The backbone of the truck is a long wheelbase aluminium twin vertical plate chassis while an inner composite frame houses the steering servo and battery pack. Sturdy suspension components allow for easy toe and camber changes while a tough 3-gear gearbox with gear differential is build to withstand the rigour of racing and bashing. Included are also factory-installed and waterproof electronics such as a strong 6kg-cm steering servo with metal gears as well as a waterproof 80A speed controller and a 3600kv brushless motor. The kit is rounded out by grippy all-terrain short course tyres and a pre-painted bodyshell along a wall charger and 2.4GHz radio system.

Serpent Spyder shock absorber option parts

Coming from Serpent and made for the Spyder line of 1/10th off-road vehicles are several shock absorber option parts. First up are bottom aluminium caps with additional machining for improved looks. The CNC-machined 7075-T6 alloy parts come black anodised and the machining not only adds visual impact, it also allows to better grip the caps for a tighter fit of the parts.
