Yokomo touring car aluminium ride height gauge

From Yokomo and made for the use with touring car kits comes this highly precise ride height gauge. Machined from aluminium the tool it offers a measuring range of 3.5mm to 8.0mm in 0.1mm increments thanks to the 2-side design that has “even” measurements on one side and “odd” numbers on the other side. A black coating with silver chamfered edges makes for a robust yet ecstatically pleasing appearance.

WRC Contest Italy – Report

The WRC Contest Italy was held at Mini Racing Chiasso in Faloppio, Italy this past weekend in several electric on-road classes including Touring Car, Pro10, 1/12th scale and Formula. The Touring Car Stock category was the premier class at the event and it was won by Markus Streuli from Nicola Di Palma and Antonino Mangiaracina.

New from Speed Passion come the V4.0 Stock electric brushless motors. Designed to meet EFRA, BRCA and ROAR specifications the motors build on the V4.0 Modified series in terms of can design but they offer improved cooling vents for better heat dissipation and lowered running temperatures. Taken over from Modified motors is also the new end bell design that incorporates a plug-in system using bullet-type connectors over the standard solder tab design used by other companies. The motors come in a range of windings including 10.5T, 13.5T, 17.5T, 21.5T and 25.5T variants.

Exotek has new option parts for the F1R2 IFS kit and Xray’s 1/10th servo saver available in the form of machined damper rods and a carbon servo saver plate. Starting with the machined damper rods for the F1R2 independent front suspension set, the highly precise parts are machined from black POM and they come with blue anodised alloy spring stands. The rods make for silky smooth damper action of the IFS assembly and they also include M5 shims to to raise the ride height further.

WCICS Rd6 at Fastraxx – Report

The Western Canadian Indoor Championship Series visited the wide open prairies of Saskatchewan, this time in Moose Jaw for Round 6, hosted by Fastraxx. A little town with a big race, and as the countdown to the finals begins the championships battles are getting close. The Touring Car Modified class offered the most dramatic high-speed main of the weekend. This time Danny Buck and his Xray had pole, but an early mistake put him back to 5th. Korgae Scales and his Awesomatix then had the lead for the first minute, but Steve Soon, who had started 2nd on the grid, took the lead on lap 6 with his Serpent and never looked back. Danny battled all the way back and passed Korgae with just a minute to go to take 2nd. Korgae brought his Awesomatix home 3rd.
