…couple of months we will continue to make refinements as we head into production, with eventual release planned around the middle of 2024. While Schumacher’s Michal Orlowski was busy winning MIBO International in the Czech Republic, in Italy his mechanic Mattia Collina was also adding to the silverware collection of the British manufacturer’s new prototype touring car by being crowned the 2024 Italian National Indoor Champion. Racing at the RC Landia track in Scandiano, Collina got his title defence off to the perfect start securing the TQ honours by topping 2 of the 4 rounds before securing the title with wins in A1 & A2. Winning A3, Awesomatix driver Gabriele Berselli finished runner up with the Xray of Alessio Menicucci completing the podium….

…but on the racing scene in general, Drake will be a huge asset to the electronics manufacturer and with Mugen Seiki now involved in the 1:10 offroad market with the release of their MSB1 1:10 2WD Buggy, his deal with Hobbywing should be mutually beneficial. Kemp, a leader driver on the US onroad scene, shot to international fame in December when he became the Top Qualifier at the IFMAR 1:12 World Championships in Florida using a Hobbywing ESC and motor and now for 2024 officially becomes a team driver as he continues his racing programme with Awesomatix. Donny Lia has won the 1:12 title at this year’s Snowbird Nationals in Florida, the Awesomatix driver taking the win ahead of Schumacher’s Ollie Payne and Xray’s Alexander Hagberg. Finishing on the podium last year when Marc Rheinard took the win ahead of Hagberg, Lia would qualify third for this year’s event as Bruno Coelho took the TQ from former 1:12 World Champion Hagberg. Attracting over 80 drivers the TFTR Masters took place at Templestowe Flat Track Racers in Melbourne, Australia, where it was Awesomatix’ Jeffrey Mackie who took the big win. The host circuit for the Australian National Championships later this year, the always well supported event saw the entry bolstered even further as it was also the official Nationals Warm-up Race. Having kicked off 2024 with victory at the electric touring car season opening GP3F in France last weekend, Schumacher’s Michal Orlowski has made it two from two with victory at ETS Daun in Germany. Having dominated Round 3 of the ETS at Andernach back in September but missed Round 4 due to Florida Carpet Championship offroad commitments, Orlowski returned to the championship in dominant fashion topping all four qualifier with his prototype chassis.
