Tamiya have released a first image of their forthcoming new M-08 Concept 1/10th 2WD M-chassis on-road kit. The latest incarnation of the long-running and very popular M-class touring car will feature a rear-mid motor layout and a modular design that allows easier wheelbase changes with 210mm, 225mm and 239mm setups being accessible. The kit comes equipped with a TA06/M-07 Concept-type gear differential, long-type suspension arms, degree front suspension mounts, 2 degrees C-hubs, CVA shocks, universal driveshafts and high-torque servo saver being standard equipment. Tamiya USA have announced the RC replica of the Toyota GAZO Racing TS050 Hybrid. The World Endurance Championship race car competed throughout the WEC 2018-2019 season and this specific kit celebrates Toyota’s first ever win at the famed 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Tamiya replica sits atop the 2WD F103GT Chassis, which is easy to build and maintain, thanks to its simple 2WD direct drive system with grippy rubber tyres that supply plenty of traction. Tamiya’s recently introduced Comical Grasshopper 2WD stunt buggy is soon also available as factory-assembled XB Pro package. The buggy uses the WR-02CB chassis as a base and it comes pre-assembled and including motor, speed controller, servo, receiver and 2.4GHz radio system. The included body and driver are pre-painted and pre-decorated and the set is rounded out by a 7.2V battery and a suitable wall charger. The XB Pro variant is set for a release in mid-December. According to more or less confirmed rumours, Tamiya’s Super Astute 1/10th 2WD and Avante Black Special 4WD vintage buggies will make a return to the shops this year. Together with the original Astute the Super Astute is one of Tamiya’s most sought-after buggies for collectors and vintage racers alike and soon the Super Astute will be up for grabs as a re-release kit. The same goes with the Avante Black Special, however the Super Astute for sure is the more desirable one.
