Daniel Kobbevik sweeps JC Challenge Norway Rd1

The first round of the JConcepts Challenge Norway saw Team Associated’s Daniel Kobbevik dominating the weekend by winning four out of five classes. The young man not only grabbed the maiden win in Norway for the new B44.3 buggy in the 4WD class but he also succeed in the 2WD, 2WD Racing Truck and 1/8th E-Buggy category – the latter being a new class in Norway run with 2S batteries and short course motors. In E-Buggy Daniel was hugely challenged by Oyvind Fast Olsen but a better tie-breaker handed Daniel his 4th win of the weekend. Last but not least in the Short Course class Dag Andre Karlstad brought home the win.

Adam Drake wins Expert Buggy at Fall Classic

The Fall Classic was recently held at Revelation Raceway and it was TLR’s Adam Drake who TQ’d and won the 1/8th Expert Nitro Buggy class. One lap behind Shaun Kirkman ended the race in 2nd position while Cody Smith rounded out the podium in 3rd.

New Pro-Line merchandise

Pro-Line have new merchandise available in the form of a World Championship T-shirt, the Legacy trucker Snapback hat, printed micro fibre towels, and several new sticker sets. Starting with the T-shirt, it is made to celebrate Pro-Line’s 12 World Championship titles and it was first seen at the World Championships in Italy. The blue T-shirt features a soccer inspired Italian theme with a Stars and Stripes shield on the front and Worlds Team emblazoned on the back. The shirt is available in adult S to XXL sizes.

Pro-Line 1/8th Trifecta lexan wing pack

Debuting at the recent IFMAR 1/8th Nitro World Championships in Italy with World Championship results, Pro-Line’s 1/8th Trifecta lexan wing is destined to give drivers another setup and fine-tuning option. From the mind of World Champion and Pro-Line team driver Ty Tessmann, the wing brings a huge amount of weight savings to the highest part of the buggy and massively lowers the car’s centre of gravity. This results in faster corner speeds and reduces the chance of traction rolling when faced with high-bite track conditions. The wing design follows the tradition set by the 1/10th buggy wing and features 3 strengthening ribs and 3 dimples that hang down on each side creating a “golf ball aerodynamic effect” under the wing for added down force and reduced high speed drag.

JConcepts RC10 pre-cut chassis protective film

New from JConcepts comes a chassis protective film set for Team Associated’s RC10 vintage buggy. For years, drivers have hand-cut and custom fit their chassis with a clear material to protect the new chassis look and also providing a smooth or slick surface to decrease friction between chassis and dirt surfaces. Max Kuenning wins World GT at IIC 2014

VBC Racing driver Max Kuenning took his Lightning10 World GT to victory at the 2014 International Indoor Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada. Starting from the 2nd position, Max took the lead on the 2nd lap and never looked back.

Red Racing M7WCS Red Series limited edition engine

Reds Racing introduce their latest nitro engine in the form of the M7WCS Red Series for 1/8th on-road cars. The limited edition engine boasts an additional tuning to the sleeve and crankshaft, besides the traditional tuning which characterises Reds Racing entire product range. The main goal is to further increase the engine’s power and top speed in order to extract the highest possible performance. Furthermore, the Mario Rossi tuned engine features a new red anodised cooling head to make it stand out. The engine is best used in combination with the Reds 2113 pipe and L manifold or the 2113 light pipe and TQ manifold.

Capricorn Championship Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the Italian Capricorn Championship was held at the Big Model track in Ciampino. The series is run in a Touring Car Modified and 13.5T Stock class and in Modified it was Alessio Menicucci who took the pole position for the finals in front of Diego Macchioni and Alessio Valentini. The Stock class had Massimo Fabiani and Andrea Attura fighting for the TQ with the better end for Massimo who grabbed the pole in front of Andrea Attura and Maurizio Bicchi.
