Sanwa RX-481 & RX-482 receivers – Preview images

Sanwa soon have two new 2.4GHz receivers available that are of a new build-in antenna design. Doing away with the hassle associated with antenna routing or having the precious wire ripped off of the case during a run the RX-481 standard and RX-482 S.S.L. receiver are of a pretty unique design with a slightly smaller footprint than a RX-472 but a taller case that includes the build-in antenna. Both receivers will be compatible with the Sanwa M12, MT4S, MT-4 and Exzes-Z and they should be available soon. We bring you more information on the full specifications and features as soon as they become available.

The 2015 Australian 1/8 Fuel Off-Road National Championships were held at the Model Off-Road Buggy Club in Perth, Australia. As qualifying got underway, it was clear that Kyle McBride would be one of the drivers to beat for the title in the 1/8th Nitro Buggy and Truggy classes. Comfortable from the first lap, the 18-year-old drove with the experience of a top veteran and put himself in great positions for the main events. First up was the Truggy main where McBride jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, lapping the field twice. In the Buggy class the results were similar, with McBride putting three laps on the competition getting him his fifth Buggy Championship in a row.

JConcepts Finnisher 1/10th Car Stand

JConcepts Finnisher 1/10th Car Stand

JConcepts unveils the latest car stand specifically for the prestigious Reedy Race of Champions. The design team focused on several aspects to debut a new treat during the large event. First, size was a focus and a lower stance was built into the design to accommodate 1/10th vehicles more specifically. The hex shaped design was inspired from the popular locking wheel nuts and Finnisher style wing buttons used within the JConcepts accessory line-up. Side pockets were incorporated as catch-all compartments for body clips, wheel nuts or any small item that is routinely changed during a race event. Cushion pads are positioned at the hex tips to provide support all the way to the edges on any platform vehicle while the large centre pads prevent normal slippage. As a bonus, JConcepts has included a rubber plug option with the company’s logo branded into the surface. To install, simply cut, moto-sand or ream on the pre-defined line in the centre area and remove to expose a large hole. Plug in the rubber piece as a grommet type installation and the look of the stand becomes even more custom. JConcepts has included a decal wrap for maximum exposure and presence that resembles the popular chassis tape Striker theme.
