Hot Race Winter Shootout – Report

The HotRace Winter Shootout took place in Chiari, Italy this past weekend in 1/10th Electric Touring Car and 1/12th pan car classes. The event attracted some of the best Italian drivers and illustrious foreign guests such as Alexander Hagberg, Marc Rheinard, Viktor Wilck, Kyle Branson, Marco Kaufmann, Thilo Thodmann and the newly crowned 4-time back-to-back ETS champion Ronald Völker. The Touring Car Modified class’ triple A-mains proved to be extremely intense, with the drivers offering a fantastic show on the tight and technical track. Ronald Völker, starting from the pole position, ultimately won the race from 2nd placed Alexander Hagberg and Kyle Branson who rounded out the podium.

Peter Pinisch continues with Reedy

Long-time Reedy factory driver Peter Pinisch has signed a contract extension and will continue to use Reedy motors, batteries, ESCs, and accessories in his 2015 racing campaign. Pinisch, a former European champion, 3-time World Championship finalist, and regular EOS finalist, will concentrate on the EOS Series, European Championships, Austrian Nationals, and IFMAR World Championships as well as smaller regional events.

DE Racing SpeedLine Plus truggy wheels

The DE Racing SpeedLine Plus truggy wheel was designed to deliver maximum corner control and stability by utilising the company’s “Sure Lock” foam retention system. This design, comprised of radial ribs that lock the wheel and foam insert together, retains maximum tyre traction to the racing surface while eliminating the vague inconsistencies that come from an insert that is free to move around on its wheel. Xray XB4 aluminium 35T bevel gears

New from Xray and made for the XB4 line of buggies is a 35T bevel gear precision cut from 7075-T6 aluminium. The part offers a lighter weight than the standard steel gear, it is highly durable thanks to the black hardcoated surface and it fits all XB4 2WD and 4WD buggies.

RDRP B5RM/MM Multi Option brass front bulkhead

The new Revolution Design Racing Products B5 series brass Multi Option front bulkhead set is made to replace the standard plastic composite bulkhead on B5, B5M and T5M kits with a heavier part in order to adjust the vehicle’s weight distribution. The part is made from high-quality brass material and it comes laser-etched for easy identification. Included is also an aluminium front suspension pin brace to round out the factory look and to help add rigidity. While the heavy brass part shifts the weight distribution to the front of the vehicle in order to reduce wheelies on high-bite surfaces the part also helps to calm down the front end on bumpy surfaces and it can help adding steering in low-bite conditions. On top of that the included delrin bulkhead inserts allow to run 25 degree or 30 degree wishbone kick-up to further fine-tune the steering characteristics without having to swap the whole bulkhead.
