Multi-year deal for Rivkin at JConcepts

Spencer Rivkin signs multi-year extension with JConcepts

Team Associated’s Spencer Rivkin from Surprise, Arizona has signed a multi-year deal with tire sponsor JConcepts. The young driver and protégé of Ryan Maifield came into his own during the 2014 season, winning the 4wd open class at the Reedy Race of Champions and continued his success throughout the year at events on the JConcepts Indoor National Series, Cactus Classic, Surf City Classic, ROAR Off-Road Nationals and the AZ State Championships in Phoenix, AZ. The multitalented driver will begin 2015 racing both electric and nitro events and will represent Team Associated / Reedy and JConcepts when the racing season hits full swing in January and February. Jason Ruona states, “It’s been a great opportunity to work with Spencer as he climbs the ladder to success. It’s not easy and Spencer has shown the relentless work ethic it takes to accomplish short and long term goals. We look forward to this continued relationship and building toward a bright future.” Spencer Rivkin had the following comments:

It’s been a great relationship with JConcepts and I’m looking forward to the continued support in 2015 and beyond. The help I receive from them with the killer looking bodies, performance tires and the great accessories keep me running at the top of my game.

Look for Spencer in the Invitational class at the Reedy Race of Champions and chasing the JConcepts Indoor National championship starting early February in St Louis, Missouri. The nitro chapter will begin late in February at the Dirt Nitro Challenge in Phoenix, AZ.

Samix TRF419 carbon chassis plate

Having recently released their new aluminium chassis for the Tamiya TRF419, Samix have produced a carbon version of the same chassis plate. Featuring different flex characteristics and simply an alternative tuning part to try in place of the kit carbon chassis, this version also includes Samix’s own battery holder.

Lee Martin joins Muchmore Racing

Muchmore Racing have announced that 1/10th Off-road World Championship runner up and multiple European Champion Lee Martin has joined their team and will use Muchmore Racing’s Fleta ZX Motor and Fleta ESC’s. The Yokomo team driver will be using Muchmore Racing’s 1/10 and 1/8 electric products at all events through 2015-2016. Lee Martin had this to say:

Muchmore have always had industry leading products with the highest quality, and with my initial tests this has been passed onto their range of ESC & motors. Mibosport Cup 2014/15 Rd3 – Report

The traditional Christmas race of the Mibosport Cup 2014/2015 took place at the Hotel-Sport in Hrotovice on the 3rd of January 2015. 189 participants was new record of series, when 107 drivers attended the on-road classes with 39 drivers in Touring Car Modified, 49 in Stock LRP, 9 in Formula and 10 drivers in the 1/12th scale class. The off-road classes attracted a total of 82 drivers with 47 drivers participating in 2WD Buggy and 35 drivers in 4WD Buggy.

Neumann to run full Maxima package in 2015

Joern Neumann to run full Maxima package

Multiple European Electric Offroad Champion Joern Neumann has made the announcement that from 2015 he will be running the complete Maxima package, both engine and fuel, having only run the Thai company’s fuel up until now. The former Durango team driver, who ran FX Engines last season, had the following to say about the deal:

After already using Maxima fuel last year, I decided for the entire Maxima package for 2015. I want to thank Chira Ratanarat and Sascha Baumann for giving me the chance to use the best engine and fuel for the upcoming season.

Dominic Greiner joins Arrowmax

Arrowmax RC announced the signing of young German Serpent driver Dominic Greiner to their team. The World Championship top qualifier will be using Arrowmax honeycomb tools, set up tools and accessories. This is what Dominic Greiner had to say about the deal:

I’m very happy to be a part know from the Arrowmax team. The quality is still perfect from the tools and setup parts. Also the silicone liquids are constant and very good. I’m looking forward for the good cooperation in the next years.

Mon-Tech WR series body shells

Italian company Mon-Tech have released two new body shells for the 1/10th rally category. The WR1 and WR2 are part of the company’s new WR series of shells. Made from high quality shock proof polycarbonate the package includes the window masks and decals.
