Paparegas wins Greek Nitrofest

The annual Nitrofest took place in Thesaloniki in the North of Greece. On Saturday the race was on between Paparegas and Quagraine with the latter winning two out of the three qualifying rounds. On Sunday Paparegas shifted into second gear and won all qualifiers taking TQ for the finals. In the final Paparegas and Quagraine battled until Xray driver Paparegas made his move leaving the remainder of the field in the dust. At the end Papanikolaou was able to put some pressure on Paparegas but the latter was able to stay in the lead.

Greek EP Buggy nationals – Report

The last round of the Greek electric off-road nationals was held at the Action Race astroturf facilities just outside Athens. Both 2WD and 4WD modified buggy classes were open for different title contenders, in 2WD Team Kyosho had two cars in the A-Main starting from TQ and third position on the grid. Pole man John Papanikolaou took two convincing wins in A1 and A2 securing the win. Argiris Papagiannakopoulos who was leading the 2WD championship and had to settle for 4th but that was enough to win the 2WD national championship. In 4WD again anything could happen with two racers aiming for the win and title. Again John Papanikolaou had the speed to TQ but settled for second on the grid with Argiris starting 6th in the A-Main final. Papanikolaou took his Kyosho Lazer FS2 SP to the second place on the podium that actually gave him his first national EP off-road title, while Papagiannakopoulos finished 5th after some troublesome final heats, but secured his second place on the championship title.

No detailed information are available yet but it is understood that the kit will include a host of new tuning options and platform refinements. The Hobbywing Asia Open 2013 will be held on December 14th and 15th in Guangzhou, China. The event will be run in Modified and Stock Boosted 13.5T classes and will see the attendance of the three former Touring Car World Champions Atsushi Hara, Andy Moore and Surikarn C. Capricorn big bore touring car shocks

Capricorn have new big bore shock absorbers for electric touring cars available. A standard item on the new LAB TE02 car the shocks feature a new quadri-ring seal, thin shock shafts and a new bushing fix system to let the dampers work smoother and more efficiently. Included with the shocks come also 50 shore and 60 shore volume compensator membranes and an assortment of shock pistons with 1mm and 1.1mm holes.

LRP LiPo Safe Box

New from LRP come the LiPo Safe Boxes in two sizes. Made from a fire-resistant fabric the bags help to keep flames and electrolytes inside the container in the event of a LiPo battery going “boom” during charging. Tough velcro straps keep the lid closed securely while convenient openings make charge wire routing easy. The Safe Box is available as small 15x6x5cm box and large 18x8x6cm offering.

Muchmore Tweak Master

Muchmore introduce the Tweak Master tool for easy and accurate chassis “de-tweaking”. The tool compromises of a thick tweak plate and a carbon fibre rod and comes in a handy bag for easy storage and transportation. To un-tweak the chassis simply place it on the tweak plate, loosen the top deck screws, press the chassis down by pushing the carbon rod against the shock towers and tighten the top deck screws again. The tool is meant to work with nearly all of today’s 1/10th electric touring car chassis.

Sweep TLR 22 body in the making

Sweep are currently working on a new optional body shell for the TLR 22 buggy. The yet unnamed body features an aggressive cab forward design, a recess behind the cab an a large motor cover/rear section with an additional fin for high speed stability and a channelled airflow toward the rear wing.
