RDRP DEX210 black aluminium shock towers

Revolution Design Racing Products announce the release of the black colour DEX210 aluminium front and rear shock towers. They are designed to replace the stock plastic shock stay with a cooler looking and more rigid solution. CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminium and coming anodised black for a more durable finish the RDRP shock towers do not break as the kit’s plastic tower and make for a more solid and therefore precise base for the shock absorbers. The black versions are a colour variant of the already existing gun metal coloured shock stays and both versions are available now.

Mibosport Cup Winter series – Announcement

Mibosport announce the 2013/14 season of their popular Winter Series. Attracting 283 drivers in total including Ronald Völker, Martin Bayer, Zdenko Kunák, Martin Hudy and Marek Černý during last year’s series, the upcoming races will again be held in the city of Hrotovice, host of the ETS, EOS and European Indoor Championships. The series is run in Touring Car Modified and Stock, Stock LRP, Formula 1, Yokomo GT and 2WD and 4WD Buggy. The season will kick off on the weekend of the 19th of October with Marc Rheinard and Ronald Völker attending as special guests. More information and registration for all rounds can be found here.

Garcia & Eres win Spanish Federation touring car titles

The last round of the Spanish Federation national championship took place at the Amsa track in Barcelona. Run in Modified and Stock touring car the race saw a good turnout of racers who suffered from unstable weather conditions. In the end it was Gonzalo Garcia (Serpent) who took the winning honours in the Stock class followed by Tony Mur (Xray) and Roger Sancho (Yokomo). With the win Gonzalo also secured himself the 2013 Stock championship title in front of Vicente Eres (VBC) and Roger Sancho. In the Modified category Carlos Ferrando (Tamiya) secured the day’s win in front of Vincente Eres (VBC) and Raul Sancho (Schumacher). The second place was good enough for Vincente to grab the 2013 Modified title in front of Raul Sancho and Carlos Ferrando.

Hudy ProfiTools 1.5mm & .063 Allen wrenches

Hudy announce the release of two new Allen wrenches out of their lightweight ProfiTools series. Available now are the 1.5mm V2 and .063 V2 hex driver with hollow composite handles and Hudy spring steel tool tips. The ProfiTools are based on the Hudy Professional tools and offer a precise fit for a long life of the tool tip and corresponding screw head while targeting the more cost-oriented racer.

Niclas Maanson & Daniel Kobbevik join Savöx

NorthTQ from Denmark have announced that Sweden’s Niclas Maanson and Daniel Kobbevik from Norway have recently joined Savöx to run the popular servo brand in all of their cars. Currently practicing at OC/RC Raceway in Los Angeles as a preparation for their IFMAR World Championship campaign the two Team Associated drivers have successfully used the servos so far and now look forward for the World Championships that will kick off this Sunday.

ECX Torment & Ruckus 1/18 4WD RTR trucks

Horizon Hobby introduce the ECX Ruckus and Torment 1/18 scale 4WD ready-to-run trucks. Both base on the same composite tub chassis with 4WD shaft drivetrain, long suspension arms and oil-filled shock absorbers. Tough gear differentials help to put the power on the ground. While the Ruckus mimics a monster truck with huge tyres and pick-up body shell the Torment comes with a short course truck body and replica wheels and tyres. The RTR sets include a 2.4GHz radio system, waterproof receiver and speed controller unit as well as all needed batteries and a charger.

2013 North-West Championship Tour finale – Report

The 2013 North-West Championship Tour (NCT) finale was held this past weekend in Pasco, WA. This would be the 6th and final stop of this years series. Over the past 6 months, the NCT Series has hit six of the best outdoor tracks in The Great North-West. The race schedule saw controlled practice on Friday, three qualifying rounds on Saturday and lower bump-up mains and triple A-mains on Sunday. In 2WD Modified Buggy Kyosho’s Joe Pillars went on to TQ all three rounds of qualifying while Kyosho’s Austin Seim went onto take the wins in A-main number 1 and 2 to take the 2WD Modified Buggy overall win for the weekend. Pillars would finish 2nd in the first two A-mains after a great battle with Austin, and took a convincing win in the last A-main to finish 2nd overall. Roger Seim put in a strong showing during all three A-Mains and would tie for 3rd overall with AE’s Chris Nealeigh. After the tie breaker was calculated by each drivers 2 best finishes along with laps and times added together, it was Nealeigh just edging out Seim for 3rd overall.

Xray RX8 composite lower bulkheads

Xray introduce new composite lower bulkheads for the RX8 on-road car. They are of a clean and lightweight design and moulded in a new hard material making them ideal for the use in high ambient temperatures or on very high grip tracks. They also absorb vibrations created by the engine and make for a more natural flex compared to the stock parts. All four bulkheads are available as separate items.
