Infinity IF14-2 touring car kit

Following a couple of teasers Infinity have finally unveiled their new IF14-2 electric 4WD touring car kit. Building on the IF14 the second incarnation will feature a new drivetrain layout that sees the spur gear being moved to the front of the motor, as the latter remained in the same position as on the IF14. The layout was choses to create a balanced driving feeling, on and off throttle, and to enable the car to run at a constant speed throughout the race. Newly designed suspension arms have a new system incorporated, which makes it possible to fine-tune the shock lever ratio. The new system – that uses inserts for the shock tower and lower arms – coupled with the newly designed shock towers, make it possible to change the shock lever ratio without changing the shock mounting angle. In this way, by changing the shock lever ratio, drivers can change the spring rate, which subtly affects tyre performance, without changing shock springs. With the IF14, when changing the mounting width of suspension arms, and the mounting angle of the shock also changed. With the IF14-II, however, setup is much simpler. Drivers can now adjust the suspension geometry without changing the mounting angle of the shock.

Xray T4 2020 extra-flex aluminium chassis

Made for their popular T4 2020 mid-motor car is Xray’s all-new 2.0mm extra-flex aluminium main chassis. It is machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium with additional machining – compared to the aluminium flex chassis – increasing torsional flex, making the chassis ideal for low-traction carpet or high-traction asphalt tracks. For higher traction carpet tracks though, Xray recommend their existing aluminium flex or full face aluminium chassis. The black anodised extra-flex chassis features machined silver edge details for looks as well as laser-engraved Xray logos.

Yokomo YD-2 aluminium 1-piece front wheel axle kit

Coming from Yokomo and made for the YD-2 RWD drift cars is an aluminium 1-piece front wheel axle set. Machined from high-quality aluminium and coming hard-anodised for surface protection, the wheel axles are lighter than the standard steel parts, weighing in at 1.9g compared to the standard 2.5g per piece. The updated design with a longer shaft allows for 5mm to 9mm off-set settings to adjust overall track width by simply adding the included alloy shims between the hex section and the outer wheel bearing.

Torpine R11 Mid top deck & R11F spider deck

Torpine have introduced new carbon fibre optionals for the ARC R11 series of touring cars. First up is a redesigned top deck for the R11 Mid that is of the now-popular asymmetric design for greater stability and durability. Also new is the spider deck for the R11F FWD car that allows to reinforce the rear end of the chassis in longitudinal and transversal direction, which makes for added setup possibilities and a more agile feeling car. Both parts are cut from high-quality carbon fibre and they are available from now on.

Xray 12g pure Tungsten chassis balance weight

Xray have introduced their new 12g pure Tungsten chassis balance weight for the T4 2020 mid-motor car. Due to being made of super heavy Tungsten material the weight is smaller than a comparable 12g brass weight, meaning it takes less space, ensuring an ultra low centre of gravity and allowing to fine-tune the car’s weight balance with ease. The weight sports a laser-engraved Xray logo and it is best mounted using ultra-thin double-sided tape.

Rêve D RWD drift car aluminium front axle set

Coming from Rêve D and made for many RWD drift car chassis is an ASL super lightweight aluminium front axle set. The wheel axles feature an integrated hub design, minimising parts involved while maximising precision for less wobble and play and thus improved precision. Due to the lightweight design the rotational efficiency is increased which is essential for a well-handling RWD drift car and several hex shims allow to adjust axle weight and track width. The parts fit both the Rêve D front steering knuckle as well as the respective Yokomo YD-2 series hub and the wheel axle set as well as the track width spacer will become available from end of March.
