GForce X Weight Gauge

GForce soon have their X Weight Gauge available. The device helps to measure and adjust the weight distribution of a wide range of vehicles such as pan cars, touring cars, buggies and trucks. Four independent scales measure the wheel load of each of the tyres while the main unit displays the wheel load, total wheel load as well as the front to rear and left to right weight distribution. The device also displays the ratios making it easier to achieve a certain value. The X Weight Gauge is set for a March release.

Martin Wollanka signs with FX

FX announce that multi-time Austrian National Champion Martin Wollanka has signed a deal with FX to run the company’s FX 5K engine during his 2014 campaign. Martin will run the engines at a variety of national and international races including the 1/8th Buggy Worlds, the Buggy Euros as well as during selected international and national races. Martin says:

While testing the first FX engine last year I was surprised by the quality of the engine and the extreme reliability. I run the engine in several races in hot and cold conditions and the engine never flammed out. In 2014 I will fully focus for the upcoming European & World Championship races as well to defend my Austrian National Champion title and as such I have a full confidence in the reliability & performance of the FX engine to help to achieve the best possible results. Xray now have their brand-new 2-in-1 winter jacket available. The water-resistant jacket is perfect for autumn and winter weather conditions and will keep you warm during outdoor races. It consists of a removable internal soft shell jacket and outer technical waterproof jacket. For warmer conditions either the internal soft shell or outer technical jacket can be worn individually. For extreme cold and winter conditions, both parts transform into a single cold weather resistant jacket. Both sport the Xray logo while the outer features two front side zipped pockets, an internal audio player pocket as well as an adjustable hood. Waters & Cragg win at Schumacher Masters Rd5

This past weekend saw a great entry of 13 heats of drivers enter the Schumacher Masters round five of this hugely competitive championship. During qualifying there were several fast drivers, however after all of the qualifying was over it was Neil Cragg who would set off from pole position in both classes. The finals saw some brilliant close racing action in both classes, all the way through the field and some superb overtaking. In the 2WD class Schumacher’s Nathan Waters came in 1st, followed by Craig Collinson (Team Durango) and Neil Cragg (Team Associated).

Hudy aluminium rear wing shims

The Hudy aluminium rear wing shims are designed to replace standard plastic shims with a cooler looking and more durable alternative. Currently available in silver and orange colour the parts are of a heavily machined design that reduces weight and adds a certain bling factor. The shims fit many 1/8th and 1/10th vehicles as well as off-road and on-road bodies and wings.

Xray T4 graphite 1-hole A-arms

Xray introduce new graphite composite material lower front and rear A-arms for the T4 touring car. The harder and very lightweight graphite material gives improved traction, easier handling, and decreases tyre overheating under high-grip conditions. The arms feature a single shock mounting position and integrated anti-roll bar mounts while retaining the same size and geometry as the standard material 1-hole suspension arm. Included are 4 holes for the optional graphite reinforcement plates.

Atomik Red 550 BL motor & 120A ESC

Atomik introduce the new Red 550 sensored brushless motor and 120A sensored speed controller. Starting with the motor, the power unit is especially designed for the use with 1/10th 4WD short course trucks, it is available as 4.5T and 7.5T variant and compatible with Traxxas’ VXL-3s speed controller, making it a good update for brushless TRX models. As for the controller, the 120A rated unit comes pre-wired with 12AWG wire and EC3 connector, it includes a 200mm sensor wire and works both with sensored and sensorless motors. The motors and controller are available separately or as combo including the 4.5T or 7.5T motor.
