Exotek RB6 direct spur mount & alloy wing buttons

Exotek have new optional parts available in the form of a direct spur mount for the Kyosho RB6 as well as alloy wing buttons for a range of 1/10th off-road buggies. Starting with the direct spur mount, the slipper eliminator hub fits all RB6 series buggies and truck including the RT6 and SC6 and it is best used in stock class and oval racing where a slipper is not necessarily needed. The lower weight makes for a cooler running motor and the design of the hub let drivers use all Kimbrough-standard spur gears. Due to the simple mounting swapping the hub for the slipper is an easy task when conditions call for it.

Team C TC10 carbon fibre arm stiffeners

Team C Racing introduce carbon fibre arm stiffeners for the TC10 touring car. Coming as separate sets for the front and the rear lower A-arms the parts are designed to attach to the wishbones using the supplied fasteners in order to make for added suspension rigidity and stiffness when running on high traction surfaces.

Belgian electric touring car championship Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the 2014 Belgian electric touring car championship was held at the city of Héron, a small town near to Namen. 50 entries battled on the very technical track. The Efra class drivers were ready to try and challenge the 5-times champion Olivier Bultynck but after some very exciting qualification runs, it was again last year’s champion, Olivier Bultynck, who took TQ. A fast Manuel Henriet took the second spot on the grid while last year’s runner-up Nick Joosens put his car third on the grid in front of homeboy Nicolas Delisé.

Arrowmax XB4 titanium turnbuckle set

Arrowmax introduce this titanium turnbuckle set for the Xray XB4 line of 1/10th scale buggies. The parts are a direct replacement for the stock links, they are made from high-quality material and come marked for easy identification of the left and right hand thread. Included in the 6-piece set is also a suitable 3mm spring steel turnbuckle wrench.

Reedy TC Race of Champions control tyre announced

The Reedy Race announce that the Sweep EXP36 Evo-R has been chosen as the spec tyre for the 2014 Reedy International Touring Car Race of Champions. A total of fifteen compounds from six manufacturers were tested with the EXP36 Evo-R was chosen due to its ability to provide fast lap times, consistent performance from run to run, and quality construction. Invitational class driver Rick Hohwart was among the drivers involved with the tyre testing and provided the following feedback:

Not only did the EXP36 Evo-R turn lap times as fast as I had ever turned at the Tamiya track, but traction was available immediately with no need to wait for the tires to come in before turning competitive lap times. Tire balance was better than any of the other tires tested and the quality of the mounting and gluing is superb.

Robert Batlle joins Xpert RC

Xpert RC announce the signing of reigning 1/8th Buggy World Champion Robert Batlle to their Factory team. The multiple Spanish champion will use XpertRC’s line of competition servos in his 1/10th electric buggy and 1/8th nitro buggies during this year’s campaign.

Pro-Line Blockbuster short course body – Preview

Pro-Line Racing have released this preview image of their forthcoming Blockbuster bodyshell for 1/10th short course trucks. The body in questions appears to sport several “full scale” details such as door handles and quick release fasteners along rivets and other gizmos that make the body stand out. Overall the Blockbuster looks to be of quite an “edgy” design comparable to the gnarly Desert Militia bodyshell. Full information will become available very soon.
