Kyosho Germany introduce this 26T aluminium idler gear for the RB6 buggy and RT6 truck. It is designed to replace the standard composite part with a more durable solution, ideal when running low-turn motors in high ambient temperatures or on very high-traction surfaces. The gear is cut from high-quality aluminium and it comes hard-anodised for added durability.

The recent Titan Cup 2013 saw the running of an 1/8th nitro on-road, GT and 200mm class with all earnings being donated to the victims of typhoon Yolanda which recently ravaged the Visayas region. In the 1/8 class Serpent drivers Clemen Pancho and Rico Mendoza constantly swapped positions during the final until both ran into mechanical problems making way for Ricky Tangan (Serpent) who then went on to win the race in front of Rico Mendoza and Edward Sio.

Speed Passion have announced the addition of talented Polish driver Michal Orlowski to their factory team. Having already used the company’s products for a number of years as a privateer and he will now receive full factory support for his upcoming off-road and on-road campaigns. This is what Michal has to say about the deal:

Horizon Hobby introduce the Losi Desert Buggy XL, a large scale 4WD RTR buggy. Based around the popular 5ive-T platform the nearly 800mm long 1/5 scale vehicle features a 4WD shaft drivetrain with fluid-filled differentials, a 4mm aluminium chassis, dual brake discs, huge aluminium threaded shock absorbers and a 23cc recoil starter gas engine. A detachable roll cage makes maintenance easy while waterproof electronics throughout make for go-everywhere-ability. Included in the set is a genuine Spektrum DX2E radio system with DSMR technology.

Pro-Line will be hosting a 4 day 1/8 Buggy RC Racing camp with Pro RC driver Ty Tessmann and his father and mechanic Gord, held at the Pro-Line test track in Banning, California from January 29th to February 1st. The participants profit from Ty’s and Gord’s vast amount of experience with both teaching everything you need to know for becoming a better builder and faster driver. 10 driver and mechanic teams will be accepted with 1 driver per team. Drivers with no mechanic are also welcomed. Yokomo have introduced the next evolution of their 2013 ETS and EFRA Euros winning BD7 touring car kit. Based on the current kit the 2014 edition will only feature slight revisions of the highly successful design. Part of the new package is a redesigned motor mount for a more centralised motor position and the ability to use larger pinion gears for Stock class racing. Also new are hard anodised aluminium threaded shock bodies. The kit will become available as the standard blue colour scheme chassis and also as a limited edition Black Series kit with black anodised aluminium parts. Yokomo’s Ronald Völker and Yukijiro Umino are set to race the new car at this weekend’s 4th round of the Asia Onroad Championship at the Yatabe Arena with the kits hitting stores around Christmas.

Savöx Germany introduce the waterproof SW-1210SG standard size servo. Actually being slightly taller than what is considered “standard size” the 42mm high servo offers 20kg-cm of torque and a speed of 0.15s at 6.0V input. It features metal gears and a coreless motor making it ideal for all heavy duty applications such as monster trucks and generally all cars where torque is needed over speed and the slightly taller case is not an issue.

New from Italian RC comes the Weapon body shell for 1/10th formula chassis. The design of the shell allows for improved airflow towards the rear wing while the wide nose section is meant to produce a good amount of front end downforce as well. The clear body is made from 0.75mm thick polycarbonate, it comes without a driver’s helmet and fits most of today’s formula chassis.
