Some new parts from Team C who have released these new 17mm wheel nuts. Knurled on the flat side to grip the wheel, ensuring it wont come loose, they are suitable for buggy or truggy and come available in black or red in a set of 4. To tighten these and other 17mm wheel nuts Team C have also released this aluminium wrench made from black anodised aluminium.
The prestigious Autosport International Show at the NEC in Birmingham provided the venue for the BRCA to demonstrate a wide range of radio controlled cars, the show also hosted the Autosport GT Cup Race for 1:10 GT cars. In front of large crowds of motorsport fans some of the UK’s top racers gathered for the GT cup race including 1:12 scale national front runners Mark Stiles and Chris Kerswell, joining them were current BRCA touring car champion Olly Jefferies and his Associated team mate Zak Smith, these four were expected to be the front running drivers but as the event got underway it became clear early on the race would be a straight fight between Jefferies and Smith, using a Reedy format the Associated pair notched up win after win on day one and carried that form on in to Sunday.

The annual DHI Cup has opened the 2013 racing season last weekend at a very nice indoor track in Denmark and Martin Hudy sent us this report. “This year the organisers built two tracks, one for on-road racing and one for off-road and the racing as was going on in both categories at the same time, so a lot of action. As usually all the European’s best drivers and factory teams were in the place to fight for the DHI title.

The organisers the 2012 Dirt Nitro Challenge in Arizona were in touch to tell us about their annual event which will be run from the 20th to the 24th of the February. Back again at the Fear Farm RC Raceway in Phoenix, AZ, the event attracts the best offroad drivers in the World and this year will be no exception. This event is open to both gas & electric 1.8th buggy as well as truggy, short course and 1/5th buggy/truck, with the latter running on a separate track. The event starts on Wednesday the 20th of February for practice and runs through to Sunday the 24th for the buggy mains and you can follow all the action here on Red RC. MIP have extended their line of famous aftermarket CVDs for the TLR 22T and 22SCT vehicles. Made from high quality steel for excellent wear resistance and toughness, they are a direct replacement for the stock drives, and require no modifications to fit them.
Exotek have produced this heavy duty 7075 alloy construction front bulkhead for the RB6 in a choice of factory Kyosho red or black colours. The part eliminates the 2 plastic steering post spacers and includes 2 M3 set screws to hold in the steering posts for a snug fit. The part has been machined to reduce its weight to only 12 grams while insuring its heavy duty construction.

Some new items from Novak, the first of wich is the ultra low-resistance stator, available in three winds, 10.5T, 13.5T and 17.5T. These new stators are developed to provide maximum copper wire fill and give spec racers an edge over a standard motor. Each stator is hand-wound by Novak’s winding wizards in Irvine, California using the largest diameter, high-quality Novak Red Wire we can fit into the stator. This lowers the stator’s resistance, giving serious racers the lowest numbers possible, and the fastest speeds on the track. Novak also have a new 12.5mm high-torque neodymium tuning rotor. The 12.5mm rotor uses the same high-strength Neodymium material as the original Novak rotor with a larger diameter. It will increase the torque and improve the natural push brake and drag braking strength of the Ballistic, Club, and Velociti/SS Pro brushless motors.
Jared Tebo has re-signed with Team Orion for another 2 years through to the end of 2014. This will be Tebo’s 5th and 6th consecutive year with Team Orion. Over the past 4 years with Team Orion, Tebo has recorded 7 ROAR National Championships along with many other major wins. Team Orion team manager Joe Pillars has this to say, “Four years ago we were looking to expand our Race Team with another big name driver.
