Azarashi Redseal ZX-5 conversion kit

Azarashi Redseal ZX-5 conversion kit

Following the Grayseal conversion kit for the Team Associated B44 buggy Azarashi now also have a respective kit for Kyosho’s ZX-5 SP2 buggy available. The set is developed around a new upper and lower carbon fibre chassis that makes use of a 2S shorty-type LiPo battery pack over the conventional 2S saddle packs for a lighter and better handling buggy. The longer 293mm wheelbase helps to calm down the vehicle without scrubbing corner speed or agility. The motor and speed controller are now located on the right side of the chassis opposite of the battery pack. Lighter components such as the steering servo and the receiver found a new home in the front of the buggy. Include in the set are the upper and lower chassis parts made from carbon fibre, a carbon battery strap, new servo mounts, longer centre driveshafts and hardware.

Carsten Keller wins German 8th E-Buggy nats warm-up

Carsten Keller wins German 8th E-Buggy nats warm-up

The dirt track of the RCRT Duisburg in the western part of Germany saw a busy weekend with the 4th round of the western division regionals, the 6th round of the Brushless Cup and the German nationals warm-up all being held at one race. Nearly 70 drivers attended to tackle the hard-packed and abrasive high-traction track. Saturday saw an early free practice followed by the first qualifiers that had Mugen driver Chris Kammann dominating the field with Carsten Keller and Chris Hahlen in tow. The finals were run according the to the national rules with a runtime of 15 minutes. The semifinal B went to Carsten Keller while Chris Kammann successfully ended the semifinal A who also took pole for the 15 minute A-final. Unfortunately Chris had to retire some minutes into the final leg with a broken bearing. This made way for Kyosho’s Carsten Keller who controlled the proceedings and eventually won the race in front of Chris Hahlen (Mugen) and Oeter Schulte-Batenbrock (Mugen).

Coming late September is Team Losi Racing’s 22 2.0 cab forward body shell. Seen for the first time at the recent Hot Rod Hobbies Shootout the newly designed shell sports a very wide and highly angled windscreen and a long roof section that ends in a low shark fin and raised rear area, again with fins to bundle the air towards the new rear wing. The body is designed for the use with the new TLR 22 2.0 and offers more room around the battery section. As usual it comes clear, with window masks and a new heavy-duty rear wing.

Avid B4.2 motor centering kit & servo mounts

Avid B4.2 motor centering kit & servo mounts

Avid is busy adding more option parts to their range of after market parts. First up is the motor centering kit for Team Associated’s B4.2, T4.2 and SC10.2 line of off-road vehicles as well as the respective predecessors. The parts are designed to overcome the imbalance issue often associated with the vehicles that are heavy on the left rear, which also makes an imbalance on the front tires. By shifting the motor, motorplate, and slipper 5mm towards the right, the balance is restored close to 50/50 for a more predictable handling. Along with the improved balance also goes a 6.7g weight saving. The set includes a 5mm aluminium spacer, 5mm slipper spacer, and stainless steel mount screws.
