Protoform Gianna GT body

Having shown off a sneak peek of their new GT body 2 weeks ago, Protoform have today released the Gianna GT. Combining exotic, Italian-inspired styling and Protoform’s aerodynamic expertise, the Gianna GT is sure to provide excellent handling for your 200mm World GT pan car. This body features a large front splitter, low drag rear wing, and an overall design that better suits the ultra-low profile foam tires that are so prevalent in the World GT Class. Included is a decal sheet featuring two distinct types of head/tail lamps (suited for light or dark colored paint jobs), window masks and spoiler hardware. It is produced in genuine .030” lexan and meets all ROAR/BRCA World GT specifications.

Lee Martin wins HNMC Winter series Rd10

The start of British summer time saw 99 racers enter the 10th and last round of the HNMC Winter series. The track was in great condition after being under snow just a week ago. Lee Martin won from pole position in an epic battle with Mugen team mate Simon Willetts, with Agama driver Jon Hazlewood taking 3rd. Jon Hazlewood would win the Truggy class from Tommy Chung in 2nd with Darren Warburton 3rd. The race was seen as warmup for the upcoming BRCA Nationals on the track which will be held from the 20th to 21st of April.

PSM Racing RC8.2 & RC8.2e central braces

PSM Racing have produced two new central diff/drake braces for the Associated RC8.2 and RC8.2e. The RC8.2 brace will support the Central diff/brake unit and will keep it fixed even on high temperatures. The set comes with two quality Ball Bearings for the brake cams. The RC8.2e brace is similar but is missing the brake cam holes. Both braces are made from 3mm thick high quality carbon fibre and weight 5.6g and 5.4g respectively.

Tourex MBX7 2-piece engine mount

More new items from Tourex who have released this 2-piece engine mount for the MBX7 from Mugen. The set consists of lower mounting blocks which are screwed onto the chassis and the two upper parts which can be screwed to the motor housing and are not removed. Pins which sit on the upper blocks aid the fixing and alignment of the engine in the buggy meaning you can quickly and easily remove and re install the engine without the need to realign the motor. Supplied with all the required screws.

Bowie Ginting wins Rd1 of Indonesian Nationals

The first round of 2013 Indonesian 1/10 GP National Championship was held at the JITC Race Track in Jakarta, Indonesia. The weather was perfectly clear all day but the grip level was a bit low due to rain on Saturday. Heri Susanto took his Xray into the TQ Spot with 17 laps @ 5.01 followed by Dimas Ardian placing his Serpent in 2nd, 4 seconds behind Heri. Last year’s Futaba OS Jakarta Open finalist, Aswin Narwandi would start in 3rd while Toni Kundjung took 4th. Defending National champion Bowie Ginting had a bad qualifying, having failed to finish all qualifying rounds due to engine-flame outs, he started from 6th behind Kenji Taira.

Tourex RC8 lower suspension blocks

Tourex have released these new lower suspension blocks C & D for the Associated RC8 buggy. Made from 7075 aluminium they are strong precise and allow you to reach 3 degrees of toe in. They are designed to be used with the original RC8 plastic inserts.

Hobbywing Xerun V3.1 1S speed controller

Hobbywing have introduced their new Xerun V3.1 1S speed controller. The dedicated 1/12th scale offering is based around the conventional V3.1 but features a BEC system with voltage booster that creates a regulated 6V/3A BEC output for the steering servo from the 1S 3.7V drive battery. This feature does away with the need to use a separate receiver battery pack. Coming in a full CNC-machined aluminium case with built-in on/off switch the controller not only does away with the need for an external receiver battery pack but also sports build-in capacitors for a tidy wiring. The 120A rated speedo is useable with motors down to 3.0T, measures 37.5x31x21.8mm, weights 37.8g and is as highly adjustable as all Xerun V3 controllers.
