UK Intellect distributors Schumacher have introduced the 2017 range of LiHV batteries. The new Silicon-Graphene series offers improved cycle time when charged at 1C rates and they can be charged at higher C rating, with less risk of damage to the pack. The LiHV technology has the ability to be charged to 4.35V per cell, but they can also be charged to the standard 4.2V if required. RC Prostyle from Spain have introduced their latest competition LiPo battery range. The line-up includes two 5800mAh/110C and 5300mAh/110C Stock Spec standard-size packs, a 6000mAh/110C, 6400mAh/110C and 7500mAh/120C standard pack as well as two 5000mAh/110C and a 4500mAh/100C shorty-size batteries. Coming from HRC Racing are two new LiPo battery packs. First up is a 5000mAh oval diameter hardcase battery made using 40C cells. Designed for the use in applications that usually require racing pack style NiMH batteries, such as RTR cars and starter boxes, the LiPo variant makes for improved performance and run time. The pack features an external balancer port and it is available with a T-type or standard Tamiya plug. Made using high-quality 50C cells the battery packs are ideal for bashers and also outlaw racing classes as their high-voltage LiPo cells offer increased overall voltage over standard cells. Yokomo have introduced the Racing Performer Ultra LCG 5000mAh LiPo battery pack. The hardcase battery pack weighs in at a lightweight 274g, making for a perfect chassis balance while the high-performance 70C/140C cells allow the use in both competitive stock and modified racing. On top of this the low profile design makes for an overall lower centre of gravity when compared to standard 25.1mm tall packs. Fantom have introduced their new MaxV-Spec Pro Racing Series LiPo battery packs. Featuring a modified chemistry that increases the average voltage and lowers the internal resistance, the packs offer high performance in spec class racing from 13.5T through 25.5T. The standard-size packs are available as 6200mAh variant weighing in at 311g and utilising 5mm bullet-type connector, with 5mm/4mm reducer tubes included, and also as lightweight 5000mAh pack weighing in at 273g and featuring 4mm connectors.
