Last weekend in Finland at the outdoor Tattarilla track saw the 6th round of the Fintrack series run for Electric touring cars on Saturday, with the 200mm gas cars being run on Sunday. Saturdays electric race was held in dry conditions and it was Juho Levanen, winner of the first 5 rounds of this series, that took the top qualifying spot with his Associated TC5. There seems to be no stopping Juho Levanen in the Fintrack series as the championship went outdoors last weekend for the 5th round, run in Hyvinkää in the south of Finland. This was the first race in the series were it was run to the new EFRA rules, with 5 cells and the new lower weight, and last months LRP Masters winner, Juho Levanen driving his Team Associated TC5 could take the TQ and the win, after a tie on points with Teemu Leino was decided by fastest run, Teemu came home in 2nd for Xray while 3rd place went…

Round 4 of the Fintrack series was run 2 weekends ago at the mid sized Laukaa track, the last indoor race of the series, with 4 outdoor rounds to follow. As seems to be a recurring result it was once again Associated racer, and last weekends LRP masters winner, Juho Levanen that took the top spot in qualifying ahead of team mate Christer Andersson in 2nd and Corally driver Simo Ahoniemi in 3rd. In the race it was Levanen all the way, taking the win easily ahead of Ahoniemi in 2nd with 3rd place falling to Xray driver Pekka Koivula….

Juho Levanen has continued on from where he left off by winning the 3rd round of the Fintrack series held last weekend in Mäntsälä, a small town close to Helsinki in the southern part of Finland. With Teemu Leino away at the Silver State NC, Levanen was left to take an easy TQ and win in Touring Mod for Team Associated ahead of Xray racer Pekka Koivula who finished 2nd, with another Associated racer Christer Andersson in 3rd. Xray are reporting on last weekends round of the Fintrack indoor series that took place on the Ylistaro track. Racing was very close in the modified class with the gap between 1st and 10th only 5 seconds and between Juho (1st) and Teemu (2nd) the gap was only 0.2 sec. Associated racer Levanen went on to win the modified class followed by Xray racer Teemu Leino in 2nd and Corally racer Simo Ahoniemi in 3rd. Last weekend saw round 1 of the Fintrack Nationals held Kuusankoski track in a big sports hall. The event was very well attended despite it being held the week after the DHI cup and saw Teemu Leino, Juho Levanen and Simo Ahoniemi all entered. Despite being quick in qualifying and the races, a number of small errors meant that Teemu Leino couldnt translate that pace into a win and it was Juho Levanen that took the overall win ahead of Xray drivers Leino and Pekka Koivula in 2nd and 3rd respectively.
