Another TQ run from Hagberg in Gran Canaria

Alexander Hagberg put in another TQ run at the third round of the Yokomo Euro Touring Series in Gran Canaria, the Swede topping the penultimate qualifier ahead of Ronald Volker and fellow countryman Viktor Wilck. The top three all benefited from fresher tyres with both Hagberg and Volker running brand new tyres while Vilck’s tyres had only three laps on them after he pulled up early in the previous qualifier following a roll.

Team C T8T & T8TE lightweight chassis

Team C Racing introduce two lightweight chassis for the T8T line of nitro and electric off-road truggies. Coming for the T8T nitro and T8TE electric truck, the CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminium parts sport a hard anodised surface and weight 300 gram each. Additional milled-out sections spread over the entire length of the chassis not only lower the overall weight but also make for a slightly more flexible chassis.

Krapp TQs first qualifier in Gran Canaria

Kyosho’s Christopher Krapp has TQ’d the opening round of qualifying at the third round of the Yokomo Euro Touring Series in Gran Canaria bringing Champion Ronald Volker’s domination of qualifying this season to an end. Driving his TF6-SP, the young German driver took the first of the five rounds of qualifying at the outdoor asphalt track by just over half a second from Volker with Viktor Wilck setting the third fastest time.

Reedy optional 13mm rotor & flat sensor wires

Reedy have released new option parts for their Sonic 540 brushless motors in the form of a 13mm rotor and universal flat sensor wires. The 13.0 x 25.3 (5.0) rotor sports a larger diameter that increases motor torque for applications such as 4WD buggies and touring cars. It is a direct replacement for the stock part. Also available are new flat sensor wires of 70mm, 110mm, 150mm, 200mm and 270mm length. They look better than the standard rubber shielded wires and allow for an extremely clean look.

Team Durango release machined blank shock pistons for their ‘408 line of off-road vehicles. The parts come made from black material and sport 12 dents that help to drill holes of your own specifications in order to achieve the perfect setup for your track or driving style. They are useable for both the electric and nitro variant of the ‘408 buggy.

ETS arrives in Gran Canaria

Better known as a holiday destination rather than a place to host an international RC race, this week the island of Gran Canaria has seen an influx of people carrying suspicious hand luggage through Las Palmas airport as the top touring cars drivers from around the world arrived for Round 3 of the Yokomo Euro Touring Series.  A new addition to this season’s ETS schedule, the event gives drivers a very welcome break from indoor carpet racing thanks to the Mediterranean climate of the Spanish island.

Reds buggy engine line update

Reds report that they introduce some updates to their R series buggy engines in order to increase reliability and performance, and to lower the fuel consumption. The R5T will come with the long needle carburettor that is already being used for the R5 engine. The part improves fuel economy and guarantees a linear power output. The updated R5 will come with a completely redesigned crankshaft, in order to guarantee higher performance and efficiency. Compared to the previous crankshaft, the general surface finishing has been improved in order to provide a better fluid dynamic. Moreover the red silicone filling reduces weight and the rotating mass.
