Atomic RC VM-II 1/10th 4wd Mini-TC

Following the success of the original VM-II 1/10th 4wd Mini-TC, Atomic RC has released a highly anticipated updated version of the high performance 4WD Mini Touring Car. The most notable features of the new chassis are redesigned upper deck with flex adjustment and .5mm thickness reduction and the new main chassis is now 11mm narrower for faster response. Most of the M-Chassis bodies will now fit the chassis due to redesigned shock towers and the new car features carbon reinforced plastic material for all the major suspension components. Due to the popularity of Gear Diff, one Spec-R gear differential is now included in the kit.

Robitronic LiFe hard case RX packs

Robitronic have introduced these two new receiver packs featuring a hard case. Often the 7.4 volts that come from a LiPo pack is too much for receivers or servos, so if you don’t want to use a regulator you can use Robitronic’s LiFe Packs which output 6.6 volts directly. The hump pack weighs 95 grams and has a capacity of 2000mAh while the stick pack is 1600mAh and weighs 80 grams.

Team C TS2TE 2wd SC truck

Team C have created this Team Edition of their TS2TE 2wd short course truck. The team version comes with new 16mm big bore shocks as well as a newly design SC body shell. To increase durability over the standard version it will come with a range of aluminium parts as standard including hinge blocks, motor mount for better cooling and a new 28T gear.

Bruno Coelho dominates Rd2 in Portugal

Last weekend the 2nd round of the Portuguese Nationals for 1/8th and 1/10th scale were held at the Maia track close to Oporto. Mugen/Novarossi driver Bruno Coelho continued on his preparation for this year’s 1/8th Euros in his country by dominating qualifying in this and the 1/10th scale class each by a margin of two laps. In the finals it was again Bruno who easily took the win in 1/8th scale by 10 laps ahead of the Xray pairing of Paulo Mota and Claudio Souto. In the 1/10th scale class Bruno won by a 4 lap margin in front of Pedro Sousa in 2nd and Mario Miranda in 3rd.

Xray RX8 brass engine mount

Xray have produced this optional brass engine mount for the RX8 that provides solid engine mounting and easy adjustment. This 90g weight is heavier by 60g than the standard aluminium monoblock. With this extra weight the car has more in-corner steering as well as increased overall traction. CNC-machined from premium brass material it is made with the highest tolerances using premium fully-automatic German CNC machines. Ultra-strong construction provides extra long life and durability in even the most extreme racing conditions.

HPI Ivan Stewart Desert-Trophy truck

HPI have released the Desert-Trophy with an officially authorized, vintage style Ivan ‘Ironman’ Stewart Toyota pick-up truck body. Of all the drivers that have tried to tame the desert, Ivan ‘Ironman’ Stewart is one of the most legendary drivers in American motorsport. From his first win in 1973, the Ironman went on to a hugely successful partnership with Toyota trucks and conquered the off-road racing scene, garnering 17 Baja 500 wins, 8 Mint 400 wins, 4 Parker 400s, 3 Baja 1000s and 4 SCORE World Championships. Ivan is an inductee into the Off Road Motorsports Hall of Fame, alongside such legendary figures as Mickey Thompson, Walker Evans, Parnelli Jones and Dick Cepek. The Desert-Trophy truck is topped with a scale replica of a vintage Toyota racing truck and finished in the iconic color slashes that identified Ivan Stewart’s racing team to all his fans.

IRCC2012 Nagoya Airport race – Announcement

The organisers of the IRCC event that takes place in Japan from the 15th to the 17th of June have been in contact to tell us about this year’s event. The race is unique in that it will be held in Nagoya International airport, in a meeting room near the arrivals section. With the airport having a hotel and restaurants, you wont need to do much traveling and can in fact access the track by foot. After a successful event in 2011 in which current 1/12th world champion Naoto Matsukura won 1/12th and GT class and RC legend Masami Hirosaka entered as a guest driver and won 17.5turns touring class the event is again open to international competitors for almost all electric on road classes in both 1/10th and 1/12th scale.
