Spazstix release range of paints

Spazstix

Now i know what your thinking, “cans of paint, is it that slow a news day?”. Well the reason that I’m showing this new range of paint is not because of the 10 different colours etc. but because of the absolutely politically incorrect name of the company. Yes there is a company somewhere called ‘Spazstix’, and it’s not actually a government funded social scheme.

This American company, that do some great paint jobs that can be seen on their site, have the most unfortunate name ever.

New Ninja .21 buggy motor?

Ninja MR21-BO1A

According to Greek site, radiocontrol.gr, there is a new Ninja buggy motor out. Information is thin on the ground but there are enough changes on the motor to warrant a look. For starters the engine head features a new spec number, with the addition of A to the MR21-BO1 and also the crankshaft and conrod sport new series number. Not exactly a major update but more a simple material upgrade it seems. No official word on the Ninja website.

The Serpent 960 of Sukenari Sahasi

Serpent 960 Sahasi

Central RC, a large importer, shop and track owner in Japan, have released pictures (and setupsheet) of the Serpent 960 of their top driver Sukenari Sahasi. The car is the one that Sahasi will use in next weeks Japanese 1/8th scale Nationals. As you can see from the pictures the car has been extensively softened with modifications to the car that allow it to flex more than that of the standard 960. The car has also been lightened as is the norm with any top driver trying to extract the miliseconds from their car.

You can view pictures of his car here.

In the meantime you can check out some of the pictures after the jump… content

Buggy event at Telstra WRC event attracts stars

Telstra Rally

Neo-Buggy reports that Ian Haley took another convincing TQ and win at the Telstra WRC Rally RC event. But more importantly this event was held during the World Rally event and attracted former RC racer and WRC World Champion Petter Solberg, who joined in, along with top WRC young gun Dani Sordo. The picture above has nothing to do with either driver but its better to look at the Miss WRC girls than a middle aged Norwegian and a young Spaniard.

Solberg drove CEN driver Paul Cornwall’s car for a while; who with Haley ended up on the podium with the Miss WRC girls!! Petter Solberg was himself at the age of 13 a keen RC Racer; back in the day he won his fair share of events in Norway, before moving onto bigger and faster cars….;)

You can see a picture of Petter Solberg with Paul Cornwall after the jump… content

French RC tracks from Space

Track from Space

French site Petit RC have a post on their site showing lots of French tracks photographed from space. The quality of the images aren’t great, probably limited by the zoom available in the mapping program used, but it’s still interesting none the less.

You can view these tracks from space here.
