Traxxas Slash and E-Revo VXL

Seen at the toy fair on the Traxxas stand in February, the US company has released details on the 1/16th scale VXL versions of their Slash and E-Revo that are to be released next month. Both cars are 14 inches long, about half the size of the 1/10-scale counterparts. Beneath the factory-finished polycarbonate shell, you’ll find the winning suspension technology of the seven-time National Champion Traxxas Revo, Velineon brushless-motor power, and the convention-busting innovation of the E-Revo. No detail was overlooked to bring all the capability, durability, and excitement of Traxxas’ award-winning models to 1/16 scale for fast, affordable R/C fun.

Reedy have released their LiPo charging sack which reduces the risk of damage in the case of a LiPo battery fire during the charging process. Constructed using heat and fire-resistant material, the charging sack is conveniently sized at 20cm x 22cm (7 ⅞” x 8 ⅝”) to accept typical 2S-4S car packs. Due to its flexible fabric, the sack can be folded for easy transport and storage, plus, inserting and removing the battery is easy thanks to its hook and loop closure design.

RB range of Silicone oils

RB have launched its high quality silicone oil range for differentials and shock absorbers. Tests have been carried out on dusty and wet tracks but also on different shock absorbers brands. The result is that these 100% silicone oils remain constant and reach professional quality standards. This very wide range starts from grade 100 until 500000. Big volume shock absorbers have become the most common today so it was necessary to provide a bigger packaging. The large 110ml bottle allows them to decrease production costs in order to maintain a reasonable price for consumables.

Available in blue and grey, it is made from nylon, is hard wearing and can fold flat when not in use. Xceed have released two new additions to their electronics range with the C1 Charger and PDC-1 power block. The high end C1 charger handles NiMh, NiCd, LiPo and Li-Ion with 3 different charging modes, peak charge, step charge and flex charge at 0.1A to 10A charging current. Discharging is also possible from 0.1A to 20A and additionally the charger has a USB port for charging your entertainment devices as well being supplied with LiPo balancer port. The simple to use interface is displayed on a 2 line back-lit screen and is controlled by 4 top mounted buttons. Also new is the PDC-1 which allows you to attach up to 5 devices to your power-supply. Each socket is secured with its own fuse and the socket will glow up with a colored light to show its in action, and four of the outputs have their own on-off switch as well.

Jilles Groskamp confirmed for BUMOD GP

The organisers of the Bumod Turkish Grand Prix, which takes place in Bursa, Turkey from the 4th to the 7th of June have been in touch to tell us that they have confirmed entry from top International racer Jilles Groskamp. The top qualifier at last year’s 200mm World Championships in Portugal, and current ETS Champion will be competing in the event, alongside other well known gas racers such as Robert Pietsch, DJ Apolaro, Patrick Schaefer and Dirk Wischnewski, with more really big driver announcements to come in the lead up to the race. Entry is now open for this event and you are guaranteed a warm reception from the Turkish hosts, who will also arrange transport and help find the best accommodation. Red RC will also be present throughout the event bringing live reports each day on our Events page.
