Kevin Jelich takes 2wd Mod at Golden State

Team Tekin’s Kevin Jelich from Norcal Hobbies took the hard earned victory in the highly contested 2wd mod buggy class at the 2nd annual Golden State Electric Challenge held at Lakeport Hobbies raceway. Kevin was surrounded by factory Kyosho driver Tyler Vik, AE Drivers Cody Turner, Chris J., Aaron Biners and more. Kevin utilized the Tekin RS Pro, Tekin Redline 10.5 motor and the new Vegas 2.0 software (203) to take the title and the cash.

New from Hudy, these CNC-machined alu servo horns are for use on the steering servos in all 1/8 off-road cars. Alu servo horn offers maximum steering control by eliminating the flex often associated with composite servo horns. Drilled and tapped for 3mm-linkage hardware, the horn has two holes for linkage mounting, allowing you to quickly and easily change the linkage angle.

Rick V is gripped by Matrix Tires

Matrix tires in Italy have announced that they have signed multiple World and European Championship finalist, Rick Vrielijnck. The Dutch factory Mugen driver will use the new tires on both his 1/8th and 1/10th scale cars as he competes in both European Championships in Italy and Sweden respectively, as well as the 200mm Worlds in Houston Texas. Back in November last year Rick also announced his move to Novarossi for the 2010 season.

Team Epic Dirt Oval motor & 1-cell rotor

New from Team Epic is this Nemesis Project 7.5T high torque dirt oval motor. Featuring a high power rotor for dirt oval and off-road, it delivers lots of low end power to keep your car from bogging off the corners. There is also a new rotor for Nemesis modified motors used for 1-cell racing. The diameter and magnet strength is designed to increase rpm and power when using the 50% less voltage of a 1 cell pack.
